I was stranded on the highway a couple of Saturday`s ago. I googled on my phone shop close to my location and came across this shop. Elledge Automotive. I called to see if they were open and spoke with a lady who told me I was just around the corner. I was able to get my van there and they worked me in quickly. I was able to go up the street and eat something and when I was done, they had fix my van and get me back o... view moren my trip. They were quick, knowledgable, and very nice. The prices we great and they told me up front how much it would be before taxes. They were great. I urge everyone to give this place a chance. If I lived closer they would be my first choice! I highly recommend Elledge Automotive Services. I went to Elledge (for the first time) with a car that stalled on the highway; I chose Elledge because one of our sons had gone there for an oil change and was very impressed with the owner, Joe. Joe replaced a sensor on our car, but warned me that the PCM (powertrain control module; "computer") could have been damaged when the sensor failed and th... view moreat I should expect a problem with the PCM sometime in the future. When the car again stalled a few days later, Joe told me that I should take the car to a dealer (a friend of his) because his shop couldn`t afford the expensive equipment required to examine/diagnose/replace PCM`s. The dealer thought that the PCM was the problem and replaced it, but the car stalled again the following day. The dealer then claimed that the wires in the harness were corroded and replaced the entire harness. Because these were both expensive repairs, I asked Joe if the dealer had misdiagnosed the original problem and that my PCM shouldn`t have been replaced. He immediately called the dealership on my behalf, and helped me get $300 off the cost of the second repair. I am impressed by Joe`s knowledge, his willingness to help a customer (even when it is not to his financial advantage), and his friendly nature. He has earned my future business.

I took my car in for an oil change on 7-7-12. I will now always be coming back. Mr and mrs elledge are very nice people. They were very helpful and fairly priced. They also took the time to explain things to me and gave tips on care for my car.

I just tried this place for the first time last Sat. I took my 2005 Honda Ody Van. I am from out of town and actually broke down on the I 26. This was the only shop open for several exits and miles. They took care of me without any problems. The mechanic there I think his name was Joe, quickly found the issue and replaced my alternator within an hour. It was amazing. We have been using Joe for years. About 8 to be exact. We live in the Fort Jackson area and he has always treated us fairly and honestly. He keeps my husband 1987 truck on the road. Others before Joe couldnt never figure out what the issues where with it. We are very please with the service we recieve from his shop. Occasionally he will even come and pick up our car from Fort Jackson, when our schedules will not allo... view morew it. I don`t mind driving 32 miles out of the way to a good and reliable mechanic. It saddens me that someone put that Joe was not honest on a previous review. I personnaly can say they are wrong. If you, the person who wrote that, I will tell you that face to face. No problems.. You will see I am a real person and not as you implied that Joe writes his own reviews. For anyone else out there. Joe tries his best to give you the best work possible at a great rate. I have sent alot of my friends to him over the years and they agree. Sometimes it takes awhile for some parts to come in, especially if you drive an older car like when do. Alot of parts for our Isuzu truck you can not find anymore, but Joe tries to find what is needed. It is worth the wait. It is at his shop now, beening serviced. I couldnt find a negative star rating. i`ve sent my complaint to BBB,SCconsumer affaires,chapin commerce, and next week the magestrate. Joe must writing his own reviews ! We already know that he doesnt have much use for the truth.

I have been taking my Lexus, Acrua and Mustang to Joe for several years now. He has great prices, and knowledge. He gets your car in and out quickly. I have never had any problems with his work or my car after he has worked on it. Great place to go and have your car worked on! Thanks Joe

A friend of mine told me I needed to go see Joe at Elledge Automotive. I have been having problems with my car 2003 MIt Gal, and noone could figure out the problem. I took my car yesterday to him and this afternoon I recieved a call saying the car was ready for me to pick up. I was so excited. My car runs great now, it isnt shutting off on me at all. Elledge Automotive is where I take my car and both my kids` cars for regular maintenance, repairs and tires. Joe is very thorough and I trust his service. He gives me a call before doing any work needed on my cars and his prices are very competitive. The work is done quickly, thoroughly and he is great to work with. It`s nice to have somewhere I trust to take my cars to.

Brought my car to get serviced here and it may be just me but everone I talked to seemed to have a bad attitude, like they thought they were better than me and that i was stupid for not knowing things about my car. Plus my car dripped oil on my driveway when I got home. Will never go back here.
