I wanted so bad to give this place a good review. I really did, because I know how hard it is to find a fair and trusting mechanic. It?ˆ™s so upsetting that this was not true for Big V Automotive. Once the job was completed and it came time to pay, I was handed a bill for $452.69! And I was told I had to pay cash. This was just unacceptable, unfair, sad, shameful, and disgraceful all at once. Why? Why? Why would a b... view moreusiness owner conduct themselves in such a manner? Why was I so wrong about these people and their business ethics? Why does the age-old clich?© of women getting ripped off by mechanics continue to prove true in this day and time? Why must a good honest mechanic be so hard to find? I just don?ˆ™t get it, I did my homework. I knew the extent of the job. I had all my parts (according to Paul), I got the ?ˆ?do not exceed?ˆ™ $250 estimate in writing. I never approved any cost adding work other than the crankshaft seal ($30). So why would this business go back on their word? I just don?ˆ™t get it. After refusing to pay more than what I was quoted and in cash, I proceeded to contact the authorities; because after explaining the logic behind, why I shouldn?ˆ™t be charged more than what was quoted, Bill stopped listening, stating ?ˆ?I hate people like you!?ˆ? and Paul drove my car back into the garage and gave the key to Bill to lock away. Once the young male officer from Central arrived and I explained my story, he basically told me that there wasn?ˆ™t much he can do because there weren?ˆ™t any criminal acts made. However only after the officer arrived, Bill changed his tone on accepting cash only and became willing once again to accept credit/debit cards. The young male officer explained how I can file a civil suite against the injustice I felt I?ˆ™ve faced (which I will most defiantly consider, even though Bill tried to convince me into believing monetarily, it wouldn?ˆ™t be worth it) It may not be monetarily worth it to file suite, or write such a lengthy review, or even report the unjust actions of Big V Automotive to the better business bureau but I?ˆ™m not one to sit idly by while someone attempts to take advantage of me or try to scare me into believing ?ˆ?it is what it is?ˆ? or ?ˆ?it?ˆ™s not worth it.?ˆ? I believe in justice. I believe in fairness and equality. I believe in America. I believe that even though one may have the ability take advantage of another, we as good Americans don?ˆ™t give into those urges. We do what?ˆ™s right and we do what?ˆ™s fair. Bottom line Paul and Bill When you set a ?ˆ?will not exceed estimate,?ˆ™ stick to it. Know what kind of job your getting yourself into. And in the dishonorable event of having to renege on a quote; come out and say the words to your customers up front, in plain wording and to the point before continuing to do the work you?ˆ™re planning to charge extra. Make sure that your customer is informed and willing to accept your changes before you just start doing them and dropping the bombshell later. And maybe you?ˆ™ll find that people like me are not to be ?ˆ?hated?ˆ? but understood and fairly treated To be honest, I don?ˆ™t want to tell other potential customers to stay away from Big V Auto because I don?ˆ™t think that their bad people I more think that they?ˆ™ve grown to accept that just because they?ˆ™ve done work on your car, they can charge whatever they like (which is true, but not right) I would like it more if not only Big V Auto but mechanics everywhere would become more honest and stick with their word. So I guess I?ˆ™ve learned to become even more diligent on maintaining my vehicle and perhaps even get back into Engineering because technology is at an age now that maintaining a car an its?ˆ™ parts should not be this ridiculous. Did you get that auto industry?

My car broke down on my way to...

My car broke down on my way to work. They called the tow truck for me and my car was fixed and ready to go by the next morning. Nice people.
