I found this business to be extremely pricey and very dishonest. They charged me $130 for a belt that cost them $29.99. My total bill was $200 when it should have only been $80 (this includes labor). After the repair was completed the manager told me that I needed to have another part replaced. When I acquired as to the cost of the procedure, he told me that it would be between $200 and $500 (including labor). After ... view moredoing some checking around, I discovered that most mechanics would charge me between $80 and $100 for that same procedure.? When I questioned the manager about my bill he told me that all products and services come with a lifetime warranty. However, when I looked at the bottom of my billing statement it reads, ""Warranty on parts and labor is 90 DAYS unless otherwise specified. Warranty work has to be performed in our shop & cannot exceed the original cost of the repair...""?  How often do you purchase an item and/or service in which the cost of the warranty exceeds the price of the original item. (Let alone 3 times the ? cost of the item!!!)?  Do yourself a favor and find another mechanic!?

I`ve taken three of my cars there now I like that they don`t overcharge me, and go the extra mile, such as putting in all the seals when replacing a timing belt Some shops don`t do that. They just told me that my car had a problem that prevented them from easily completing the repair that I had scheduled, but they put in the extra time without charging me more than the estimate. It`s hard to find a good garage these days I`m glad I don`t have to look for one.

I had to call the police because one of their employees was threatening me and yelling at me. He was belligerent and I was terrified. I park in the entrance sometimes to pick up my kids from the bus- I`m never there for more than 5 mins and if they ever asked me not to park there I would have happily moved my car and not thought about it twice. I was sitting there minding my business when this employee came and bange... view mored on my car window- I rolled down the window and he started yelling at me. I felt upset that he acted that way, after all he has never said anything to me after a year of doing this- I always make sure that I am out of the way and as I said before if he or anyone else who worked there told me that I couldn`t park there I would compltely understand and move my car. Even after he yelled at me and told me to move I kindly thanked him for letting me park there, but asked him to tone down his voice and that`s when he freaked out. I had a two year old child in the back seat. I was so shaken up that I started crying. He was yelling and screaming in the parking lot after I asked him not to yell at me or talk to me like that. He said ""when you own this place then you can park here"" and he also said ""what are you going to do? Call the police? go ahead i`ll be waiting inside this should be an interesting story"". The man is horrible and terrified me and my children. I had to call the police and make a report. So much for a great Neighborhood Garage- I live in the Neighborhood, I am respectful to other people and hope to be treated that way in return. What a disappointment. BEWARE!

One of our cars the check engine light came on and we pulled into Frick Park Auto. As it turns out, it was dangerously low on oil due to an unnoticed leak. It was also low on coolant.

The guys at Frick Park topped off both the oil and the coolant and when I asked about the payment they said no big deal. That action alone earned a lifetime customer (two in fact).

I was literally ""stuck."" My brakes went out right around the block. I had been visiting my daughter, having driven from the St. Louis area. So, that morning, I was truly ""stuck."" I stopped at the station and the most incredible thing was that they looked at the car right away, knowing that I was on my way home to St. Louis. We have been having our vehicles serviced here for 10 years. They have always been honest and reasonable with their advice. they never try to ""sell"" a service. I have found them to be courteous, knowledgeable and efficient.

I`ve never written one of these reviews before, but after reading some of the other comments I decided that I had to contribute my two cents. I first started taking my Nissan Pathfinder to the boys at Frick Park Auto, and was happy with the service. They always told me what I needed and didn`t need, as the 2002 SUV was getting up there in milage. Once I was satisfied with their work, I began taking my 1955 Porsche 35... view more6 Speedster to them for repairs. Although, the car was in great shape, those old classics need TLC, which Frick was able to provide. I utilized their services for over two years with confidence- until I bought my BMW X5. BMW`s service plan covers all repairs, so I don`t need the services of Frick anymore. I have referred quite a few people to Frick, all of whom have had fantastic experiences. The tires on my BMW will need to be replaced next year (not covered under BMW`s service plan), and I will revisit Frick for my tires....without a question.

I had a mirror replaced. They just wanted to glue a new mirror over the damaged one. I brought them a replacement mirror and attachement piece. Turned out, 3 weeks later the mirror fell off. Said that the kit came with glue/tape, but when I contacted the part supplier they said it was a snap on piece and that there was no glue. Frick Auto said that the mirror had tape/glue on it and they just placed the mirror o... view moren. 15 mins of my own time, I was able to snap the mirror on no problem. I will never go back because of how they do quick fixes to get you out, then the fix fails.

Also, my engine light was on. They tested it, turned out it was an O2 sensor. They said they did not think it was my O2 causing the problem and told me to drive it till the car died again. It died again two more times, they still did not fix the O2. I took it to another garage, they fixed the O2 and car is running fine now.

My neighbor had a terrible experience here: his car was repaired, broke down out of state, and even though another mechanic said it was from the original problem not being fixed, Frick Park wouldn`t fix without another $800 bill. We`d hoped new management would help, but then my family had a similar problem happen. The owner was very rude and we were overcharged. DO NOT GO HERE!
