Stay away from this business. The man at the front desk is super polite, but he just a front for a shady lying business. He seems honest and he`s very convincing. I recently took my car to get inspected there and they told me it needed over $650 in things repaired. The previous year they told made me to pay for some of the same repairs. I went to this complex to get my car fixed on a recomendation from a friend. I was treated very well, all questions I asked were answered to my satisfaction. I felt comfortable in the shop, was made aware of all problems surrounding my car. The repairs were done in a timly fashion and I was very happy with the costs. I`ve had trouble finding an honest, local mechanic for the repairs that I can`t do myself. I found that at John Varney. They have taken care of me on numerous occasions, both in price and free services. I recommend them to any looking for a good, reliable, honest auto repair center.

Several months ago, AAA was called twice within a two hour period to charge a dead battery in my car, The driver who charged it the first time assured me the battery was fine and went on his way. After the second call to AAA, they suggested I have the battery looked at, and their repreentative suggested John Varney Auto Service. The folks at Varney`s could not have been nicer, and they even offered to drive me to m... view morey home about a mile away so I could wait there while my car was in the garage. When I picked up the car, the charge was $58.00 and the diagnosis was "dirty terminals." $58.00 to clean the terminals!!! Fair? You be the judge! Incidentally, my calls to AAA to discuss this matter have gone unanswered. Needless to say, I have a definite opinion of both AAA and Varney`s!.

The ""help wanted"" sign in the window isn`t joking. I waited more than a week for a wheel, was quoted three different expensive prices for three different wrong wheels, and then given attitude when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. They had all of the proper information, along with a photo and a drawing of the part, and they still couldn`t order the correct one. They said it would take another day and... view more rudely told me to look somewhere else if I didn`t want to wait. I will never do business with this company again, and am considering reporting it. Don`t waste your time or money with these people. I`ve had a lot of work done on vehicles, and I know when people don`t know how to their mechanical jobs properly.

this place is terrible. the car i got was awful, even though i was told the car worked perfectly fine. it has broken down more than once, does not start, and much more. please do not waste you time at this place. sure they are nice, but i want honesty when i`m buying a car. what a joke.

I have to admit that I know alot of things, but not about cars. As a result, I rely on the talents and integrity of my mechanic. I have heard and know first hand that this place is no good. They may fix your car up nice but have fooled alot of people. They sell bad cars for too much. Dont be fooled by the charm and looks of this place.

I just happened on John Varney Tire & Auto when I moved to a neighborhood near them and needed service. They`re wonderful (and I have *never* raved about a mechanic before)! They treat me with respect, have excellent rates, give great explanations, and do the work quickly.
