When we first went to Bucher`s, everyone was very polite. We don`t have the best of credit so my husband wasn`t able to get a motorcycle without paying cash. The motorcycle had some problems, but nothing that they didn`t tell us ahead of time. The prices are very fair, blue book and with minimal finance charges. The problem came in when we didn`t pay them. I had however sent them a note in the mail explaining why and... view more asking them to call me if there was any issue with the date I planned to catch up. There was no attempt at contact. (It seems to me that just about anyone who goes to a buy here pay here place is doing so because they are limited with cash or because they have been irresponsible in the past with money, so this is a valid point.) At one point or another I have paid every single one of my bills late. Normally, I get a phone call, letter, late charge, interruption of service if continually late, reported late to the credit bureaus, even a home visit (all while still being polite and exhibiting wonderful customer service). All these things I find acceptable. When we were late with Buchers, they happened to see us parked at McDonalds, came in, used a finger to beckon us outside (like you would a child) and berated us for being late, telling us they should take the motorcycle. It was like they just saw us in passing and said something sort of on a whim. They weren`t even sure of how late we were and when I went to make another payment after this incident, my deposit still hadn`t even been credited to the account. My hubsand found it very aggressive and threatenting and it took a lot of coercing to keep him from just returning the motorcycle and losing anything we`d paid on it. (That`s right. A guy in his 20`s would have rather gone without a motorcycle then deal with them.) We were there with friends who we had actually recommeded to go to Buchers. Obviously, they decided to wait a couple of months for a larger down payment and go somewhere else, along with several others that we had referred there. After that they quickly dropped to the bottom of my priority list. I didn`t pay for several months (to be honest, partially out of spite and partially because we just had other things that needed more immediate attention). When I did send them a post dated check, they cashed it early, which I didn`t know they could do. The funny thing is....Every time I`ve written them a check in the past it took them several weeks if not more to cash it. It seemed like a petty jab. The reason I wrote this review is because I read a bad review for them and addressed it with them when I went in. The gentleman only stated the negative with very little explanation so it was easy to set aside what he said. They weren`t all bad, but the experience we had leaves me feeling very relieved that we now have perfect credit and will never have to go back. A person going here may not have much other choice. If your credit is sort of borderline I would recommend R&S Auto Sales 11 Martins Road Jersey Shore, PA (570) 865-6386 A little bit of a drive maybe but totally worth it. They have excellent prices. We saved 4 grand on our car and its still in great shape a year later. We financed through Williamsport Financial (now NCDC) They gave us a little bit higher of an interest rate at the time, but it has helped our credit and they have excellent customer service. i was never to see them but a loged on to the web site and found justins review he never said one word about what if any thing was wrong with the car he brought from you how can anyone go by his words next time tell people what was wrong not just dont go there thats no answer grow up.
