Best car shopping experience
My dad and I drove from Pittsburgh to Altoona to check out Blue Knob Auto. SO glad we did! NO pressure from the salesman at all.

You tour Blue Knob`s lot on your own, write down stock numbers of cars you want to test drive - go test drive them on your own and then buy.

They offered me $4,000 more for my car then ANY car dealership around Pittsburgh. And their selection was perfect. Prices were bey... view moreond reasonable.

Will recommend them through and through - great job Blue Knob ... keep up the good work.

Blue Knob Auto Sucks
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM....CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. I put a $500 deposit down on a car but it needed factory warranty work.....by the way they did a state inspection on it but did not notive the front end clunking??????? They were supposed to call me in a couple days...a week went by so Icalled them and they sold my car by mistake even though I had money down on it. THEN, they tried to sell my a year older car for the s... view moreame amount of money with less of a warranty.

The customer IS always right NOT the business!!
We purchased a truck off of Blue K Auto and we were pleased with the price, but we did waste about four hours out of our day waiting around on them to do paperwork. We find out two months later that they never completed the regestrationg paperwork properly for us to receive the registration in the mail. They acted like they were doing us a favor by fixing the problem and not charging us the normal fee to fix this p... view moreroblem. We had to pay additional money to get this fixed. We were told that we were legal when we drove off of the lot,.....how could that be if the registration was never taken care of? We were told that the registration paperwork done at the time of the sale is basically a ""courtesy"" to the customer. I worked at a car dealership for over five years and I have never heard of this. The registration paperwork is part of the sale process and has to be done. So, why didn`t they do it? The car dealership I worked at would have admitted this screw up and taken care of it and not charged the customer additional money to get it straightened out. I was told that it was a state fee and not theirs although the check was made out to them. I was very dissatisfied with this customer service and their UNWILLINGNESS to correct the problem or to make it right. I will NEVER shop there again!!!

Great business model with horrible customer service.
Great business model - good products - good prices.
Unless you are a teacher of the mentally challenged (patience etc.) or love abuse this is not the place to buy a car.
They ignore you - will not return calls in a timely fashion - Sales ??? people ??? are rude and go to great lengths to emphasize that they sell so may cars that they don`t need your business.
If you are willing to exchange your self pride ... view moreand be abused unnecessarily for 3 + hours to save money - this is for you.

Best pricing, Clean cars and dealership, straight forward, no hassle, very busy
We shopped for a car for 4 months and found this dealership via autotrader. We did visit eight major car dealers in our area and prices were $3,000 to $8,000+ less at Blue K. then our local dealers who would not match pricing from Blue K. I found the make/model that I wanted and called Blue K. with questions (3 times). The phone was answered politely & professionally each time. I explained that I was 200 miles fro... view morem their location and wanted to know if the car was available. It was & they would be happy to mark the car as sold and hold it. I even received a call the morning I was leaving to verify if we would be coming in & was politely reminded of paperwork to bring if I would like to purchase the car. We were greeted by the receptionist and told her the car and she even said..you are the people from... Smiled and one of the sales people brought the car out for us to drive & inspect (the car had the sold sign on it). The dealership is very busy and we found that they sell in high volume 800+ cars per month but I heard no complaints about waiting. Talked to people from Philly, Conneticut, New Jersey about the great deals and one family was purchasing their 3rd car from that dealer. I did carfax (with Blue K`s suggestion) and found most of their cars were rentals and so were the ones from our local major auto dealers. I took printouts of the cars I wanted to see with me. Yes, they are very busy trying to help everyone but if you do your homework and know which cars you want it makes the experience faster and smoother. The car was prepped (washed, waxed, gas put in it) while doing the paperwork. We were there 4 hours. I saved $8,000 on my car and LOVE it. My husband will not shop anywhere else. It was nice not to have sales people pressure you & all cars had price, mileage, options on window. No haggling/negotiations on price, straight forward deals the way it should be. Well worth a few hours for a car that you will spend years with!!

Good selections Poor Service
I was very impressed with the selection of vehicles available and the costs. However, the experience of trying to get service was very poor. I visited the web page and they have a request for information to be called to you or emailed. I did three requests with no response...WHY have this is you dont answer? When called the sales person took my name and the vehicle I was interested in...when I arrived I found the sal... view morees person after not being asked If I could be helped.. I told him who I was and what I was there for....he gave me the keys to the vehicle and a dealer tag (2 screws) to put on myself..pointed to where the vehicle could be found on a back lot and said take it for a drive and comeback and let me know what you think. The vehicle was empty and I was a scared to go too far. Returned and made the decision....Filed out some paper work with the sales man (15 minutes) told me to have a seat and they would be with me shortly....2 hrs 15 mins later...signed paper work given registration...was told see sales man for keys.....sales man said have a seat they are cleaning it up. 45 minutes later received my vehicle.....4 hrs of my day 30 minutes of actual time need, 3 1/2 hrs waiting around because the customer service lacks...not enough people working in the paper work to get you out.....sales people dont even do anything to sale the vehicles.....if you have the time to wait and waste the vehicles are worth it.......just be patient!!!! Would recommend if you need a good reliable and price friendly vehicle. just dont expect must from the staff.
