I purchased my third car from them. They have always been good to me. Even when one of the cars had a problem...they fixed it. I send people there all the time and they have the same experience.

Horrible! :( We bought a car for our 20 yr old daughter on 05/28/11. She had moved to Pittsburgh and commutes to Cranberry for work. It is a 97 GrandAm, only 88k with nice body and interior, inspected until 01/2012 and we pd $3200. Within the first cpl weeks, the car kept shutting down on her, but would restart after a few tries. She got stranded at work, we brought her one of our cars to use and we took hers home... view more to our repair guy. We replaced the battery (which was useless) and asked him to give it a once-over due to other issues that were going on. He called us and said he`s afraid to touch it due to the ENTIRE FRAME being rusted and rotted! He had put it up on the racks and couldn`t believe his eyes. He said the inspection from 01/2011 is totally illegal and the car isn`t safe to drive! Thank God nothing happend to our daughter! He also said someone recently replaced the fuel filter, which would have required them to put it up the rack, and they darn well would have seen the rotted frame. I called Donan this past Friday, explained what was going on, and he said he`d get back to me. He didn`t. We called again the next day, Saturday, and he said he was waiting for his ""inspection guy"" to get back to him. He said he`d call before the end of the day. He didn`t. It is now Monday, and if I don`t hear from him be the end of the day, I`m filing a lawsuit under the PA Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, which also recovers attorney fees. We will also pursue a claim of breach of Implied Warranty, as the inspection sticker ""implied"" the car was legal and safe to drive.
The fact that they didn`t recontact us whatsoever, even just to say they are waiting on their `guy` or to tell us what they plan to do for us, is deplorable and unacceptable! I wish we would have seen these reviews before we bought the car! DON`T GO THERE! Hopefully, this place will be shut down soon!!

My son bought a used vehicle from Doman. Within 10 days found out car would not pass PA state inspection. Mechanic told him would need $2000 in repairs, frame completely rusted.etc. Two other car dealers would only give him $200 for the vehicle. Paid $2600. We offered to sell back to Dealership at our loss of $600. NO DEAL. I bought my first car there 20 years ago. The guys helped me when I had NOBODY to help me. I was a single mom on my own in a new city and needed a good reliable car. Thats exactly what I got. I just bought a car for my daughter at Doman last week. Its a good one too.

Some of this stuff reads like the National Enquirer or some other grocery store tabloid BS.

I have personally never did business with Doman auto sales and service. I decided to try the Edgebrook busline to get to work downtown. I parked my vehicle under the busway bridge and got on the bus to town. Upon returning to get in my vehicle the owner of the shop ran down the street to stop me and inform me I was not permitted to park there. He said he owned the property which was a distance from the service shop. ... view moreThere were no signs posted that say "no parking" and I had no idea. I was very polite and apologized and agreed I would no longer park there. Instead of saying "ok" and conversation over this man was screaming at the top of his lungs swearing and letting out his frustrations about people trying to park there on a daily basis. I felt very threatened and scared for my safety even being in my own vehicle in the middle of the road. I said sir "please don`t yell" "I wont come back here I promise." I honestly have never felt so belittled and threatened by a person`s words before in my life. I couldn`t imagine doing business at this shop. I mean what if you didn`t like your service on the vehicle or you had problems. I`m no psychatrist by any means, but this man has some serious anger issues and some psychological problems. All it takes is 5 minutes to buy or construct a no parking sign. I thought he was going to physically hit me and I didn`t even yell at him. I couldn`t imagine getting into a verbal match with this man. I wouldn`t have put it past him to pull out a weapon and go postal! Please stay away, after reading all these reviews and not seeing any good ones about this sales place and service shop and actually meeting this character I would advise anyone I know to proceed with caution or just completely stay away!!! SCARY!!!!! Thank god I didn`t have my child in the car. And for god`s sake do not ever park on the side of the street on Edgebrook!

Oh, Donman auto.... So my nightmare all started when My Grand am died on me one week before the fall semester of my senior year. So I had to find a car fast or I wouldn`t have a way back and forth to campus. So what attracted me to this car dealership is all of the signs that said that they would make it work with what ever credit you have, being a student I dont have much credit, so I thought that it was the best... view more shot that I had. When I first stepped on to the lot I saw a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon in this beautiful red color. I WISH I HAD SEEN ALL THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT CAR! I purchased the car for about 5100, and I also purchased a two year warranty for about 1500. That`s where all my problems began! One month after the date of purchase I had to replace the Timing, serpentine and V belts totaling about 700$. We Called the warrently People to fix the problem and they told us that they werent going to pay for the repairs up front that they were in place to simply ""reimburse"" me the cost of the repairs and it would take 6-8 weeks for me to recieve payment, only after they ""approved"" that the work was done (somethting that DONMAN AUTO never meantioned when he sold me the warranty!!!!). Three months after that, I got a letter in the mail that the warranty company that I had purchased the warranty from had recently filed for chapter eleven bankruptcy. Huh, isn`t that nice? Another thing that DONMAN forgot to mention! Maybe it would be important for me to know that the warranty company isn`t currently in string financial standing at the moment? So the 1500 that I paid for that, I will never see back in the form of cash or even the protection for repairs in which I purchased it for!!!! And it gets better, One month after I learned that I no longer had a warranty... I had to replace the Fuel pump totaling about 400$. Ever since the fuel pump issue, that car has been in and out of the shop for starting issues and other things, each time costing me over 100$ The kicker? I only drive it to school and to work and I have had it for a little over a year now and I have only put a little over 4000 miles on it since I have purchased it!!!!! Seriously, DO NOT BUY FROM HIM!!!! Unless you like dealing with lemons and wasting all of your money on repairs! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

I called Doman Auto to inquire about a car I saw on their website. The salesman was friendly and took my information, including my social security number, to run a credit check. He said he`d get financing arranged so I could come in 2 days later to complete my purchase. Two weeks later, I got a call from him, still friendly and helpful, asking if I ever bought a car. I explained that I never heard back from him a... view morend he apologized, stating he ""sent the application on"" and thought I was dealt with. I ignored this initial concern. Several calls later, he was unable to answer a question for me about the warranty on the vehicle and directed me to ""Andy"", Sales Manager. Andy was anything but professional. He verbally berated me, patronized me and said he would ""aruge all night if I wanted to"". Moreover, the price of the car went up $800 from the internet-listed price and they were going to charge me 21% interest. I was told the increase in cost was because I was a ""bad risk"" (wasn`t the interest rate enough?). I kindly told Andy to keep his vehicles and hung up. I may have poor credit; however, it WON`T be poor forever. Word-of-mouth travels fast....I refuse to beg for customer service just because of my credit score!

I am amazed at the bad reviews for Doman. I bought my car from them three months ago, and I love it. It`s in great condition and drives fabulously. There were a few small, practically invisible imperfections on the body, but everything else was far better than I had expected. My credit isn`t great, and they really worked with me to not only get me into a car, but to make sure it was a car I liked. The only issue I`ve... view more had with it was a dead battery, which wasn`t their fault (I forgot to turn the lights off one night). As far as the sales staff goes, they were friendly, courteous, and helpful - far more so than most other places I looked at cars. I had expected to be treated poorly because of my credit, but they treated me with the utmost respect. I have recommended them to friends and family members, and am constantly impressed with their service.

I am now on my second car here. I think the salesman have gone above and beyond my expectations. I have horrible credit and I cannot get cars anywhere. These people gave me a chance and I am forever grateful. Am I gonna say the cars were perfect, no, but if you can say that about any used car I`ll call you a liar. There were problems with one of my cars and they have fixed them. I guess with all the reviews her... view moree it is all in how you approach things. If you threaten, take people that make you look bad, and constantly harrass then you get in return what you deserve. A little manners go a long way in todays world. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is looking to purchase a car especially those with less than perfect credit who think noone will trust them.
