I have been satisfied with their service department. Their prices and performance have exceeded my expectations. Granted, my expectations are extremely low regarding automobile service.

I`ve had several poor experiences with the service departments at the other two VW dealerships in Columbus (see my review of MAG), so my expectations were not high when I first went to Byers. But what I found here is pretty much the opposite of everything at MAG. Where I was treated like an inferior at MAG (probably because I have Volkswagens and not Porsches), I was treated like gold at Byers. The waiting room at... view more MAG is tiny and claustrophobic; the one at Byers is wide open and comfortable (good coffee, too). People at MAG were brusque; people at Byers are exceedingly friendly. MAG made promises and didn`t deliver on them; Byers delivers and then some. I paid through the nose at MAG; Byers` bills are less than expected. MAG requires you to navigate a maze of access roads; Byers is easy to get to. I could go on. After my disappointment in MAG (and to a lesser extent, Hatfield), I swore off VW service for a long time, but Byers has changed my mind. Nice job, guys.

The folks at Byers Volkswagon are outstanding! In addition to getting a fabulous car, the experience of buying it was fast, and everyone my wife and I met at the dealership was professional and fun to deal with. One of our biggest concerns was whether the car would fit in our tightly packed garage. The salesman, Don Moss, suggested we drive it home as part of the test drive to make sure the car would fit. Whe... view moren my wife returned two days later to buy the car, Byers didn`t have the exact car we wanted in stock, but the sales manager found one at another dealership. On the day it was to be delivered, my wife needed to be home to wait for an appliance repair person, and Don Moss was kind enough to deliver the car (spotlessly clean and waxed!) to our home. She hadn`t bought a new car since 1995, and Don explained all the features clearly in a way that didn`t make her feel stupid. He also obtained good prices for us on the accessories. Tony Cook handled the sales paperwork. In addition to getting my wife through the process quickly and competently, he did her a favor. After she left, she couldn`t get her car key to turn in the ignition. She went back into the dealership, and Tony was kind enough to come out and get her car started. Having the accessories installed also went very well. In addition to doing a good job, they gave my wife a loaner, had her car washed and took time to go over the new accessories with her.
