I`ll try to not to be to long but this is a great story. I was in the Dayton area on business and my truck was making a very strange noise coming from the front end area. So the first thing i see is a Midas so I stop in for a look see. Not one but three mechanics could not find anything and said my transmission was leaking and needed to be serviced ??? and they could service it while I waited for $149.00.
... view moreSo I am thinking how a transmission leak translates into a noise coming from my front end area ? Not satisfied with their findings I requested my vehicle off their lift and continued about. Now the noise is getting worse.... so I summoned my Garmin GPS for a auto repair shop in my general area and South Dayton Auto & Truck Service came up with directions to get there.

After I got there I said nothing of my visit to Midas and with in 10 minutes they verified my Left front wheel bearing was burnt up and my wheel was ready to pass me going down the road.... YES is was ready to fall off the truck. My truck is a 4 X 4 and I was told the only thing holding my wheel on was the drive axle nut.

I feel I was taken care of very well by a shop that knew what they were doing at a reasonable price , lucky for me I made it there ! I have been back since for more repairs since I only live about 20 minutes south of them it is worth the drive for sincere,honest, reasonable repairs. In my opinion South Dayton Auto & Truck Service is a ""ACE"" in my book.

I will vouch for these guys.

I just moved into town was looking for a place to get my honda serviced at , i try to avoid the quick oil change places as a oil change should not cost 50.00 everytime ..I found south dayton auto and truck and took my car in . They were real friendly and said they would get right on it . They had me done in less than 25 mins changed my oil rotated my tires. The biggest suprise was i had a brake light that wasnt work... view moreing and the dealer told me it would be 243.00 to fix it. I didnt even mention it to them and they fixed it ,they said the socket was corroded and they cleaned it and was as good as new . They didnt even charge me for it . Ill tell you getting my car worked on in the past was like going to the dentist or calling a plumber your just know your going to get a 1500.00 estimate ! Ive been back to south dayton auto and truck 2 times now and great service and great prices and they are so layed back .I highly reccomend them to anyone needing their car worked on .
