Don`t do it!!!! Don`t buy a car at Matthews Motors. I bought a 2010 VW Beetle in March; I have had it in for service 4 times, not including my scheduled oil changes. It has wiring problems (headlights, running lights, etc). I paid extra for an extended warranty, but of course this isn`t covered!!!! Had the car in for two days with another problem with the headlights, and now they said it is a $430.00 bucket asse... view morembly and the rear trunk latch needs replaced for an additional $329.00....and surprise, surprise.....neither one of these are covered!!! General Sales Manager Mike assured me that he would take care of it, or get me into another car since this one seems to be a piece of junk....Spent 4 hours there today to learn that they can`t do anything for me; not even take care of the repair!!! I will never buy another vehicle from this company, and they will be reported to the proper agency.

Repeat Customer

In January i bought my third car from Matthews Motors. Four years ago I bought a mini van and my husband bought a truck. My husband still has the truck and I just traded my van for a cross over. Matthews Motors has been my best car buying experience in a long time. Lets face it, car buying is a fairly unpleasant experience with lots of sales and price games but it was quite good each time at Matthews. This time ... view moremy trade had a major mechanical failure and they still treated me fairly and gave me a fair price. They were also genuinely nice to my kids.

Nightmare

You cannot trust these people. I am from Canada and had to buy the car sight unseen. I strictly asked about any flaws the car had as I would need that information to make a proper judgment about purchasing the car. I asked if there was any visible damage, I was told no. I was told by the salesman that it was perfect but that there was 450 dollars damage which he figured was caused by an animal being hit and that it w... view moreas more than likely a new headlight on the drivers side. He claimed to have been a body man for 15 years and said he drove the car himself. Well they may have fixed 450 dollars worth of damage but the damages were much more extensive. I had to replace the back bumper, the passenger side lower molding, I had to have a new driver side HID headlight assembly replaced, and it also required a new wheel bearing. I still haven`t fixed the front bumper but it will need to be replaced as well. I asked if there was anything they were prepared to do for me, well lets just say that was a dead end. Don`t buy a car from these guys, and if you do, get the car fully inspected. Do not trust these guys.
