We put a down payment on a car on Feb.14th 4 days later the Alternator went out and the belt on the car was not working right. We called the dealer and told them what was wrong and they said they would take care of it after a long discussion. Now this was in the morning when my husband was sopposed to be at work already. They sent a guy to tow the car to his shop and fix the car later that day. When we got ... view morethe car back a couple days later, we noticed that they put an old Alternator in and the belt sounded worse than it did before they even touched the car. About a week later my husband left for work and didn;t get more than 2 minutes down the road and the car went into SafeMode. It would not start at all, just the lights would turn on. He was LATE AGAIN for work and had to pay $18 for a taxi. He talked to the Dealer about the problem and they towed the car again. He called them to see what was going on and they said his Fuel pump went out and he has to pay $350 to get the car fixed. Now this is the second time the car has went out on him in less than 2weeks. They told my husband when we bought the car that whatever problems he has with it that they will take care of it the first 36days. So he mentioned that to them and they said that it is his problem and they are not going to do anything about it. So we call around to see what we have to do to get this fixed, because we shouldn`t have to pay for problems on a car that cost $13,000 that is breaking down within the first week of owning it. Well we couldn`t find any help anywhere so we dicided to go ahead and put our entire check to fix the car, even though we have two small kids and we have to buy groceries, gas to work & etc. The next day my husband calls the mechanic and the mechanic tells my husband that now the computer system went out on the car and now the price increased extremely. We call the dealer and they come up with the same old BULL that they gave us before. So now we have to come up with $580 just to get our car back and we have the car payment coming up next week. So now we have $920 to come up with by next week. The dealers said they wont do anything because then they will be losing money, but they don`t care at all about the customers and the rediculous amounts of money that we are losing aswell. They said if we want to return the car that we will not see a penny from them and that it will just be a reposession on my husbands credit. I understand these are USED cars, but we should be able to trust at least a little that our dealer is selling us a car that is worth the amount we are paying. If we had the money to put on a BRAND NEW car, we would have done that.....
