I also want to warn others that Nissan Advantage service department is full of bunch of theives, I took my car once for an oil change and told them the vdc light is on so I want to have the brake fluid topped. I was talked into signing a diagnostic fee charge of 115 by Jonathan Roque, and when I went to picked my car I was told that my brake needs replacement (even thou the pads were 7mm left) and my diagnostic fee will be waived if I get the repair done within a month, I told them I can not have it done within a month as I am travelling and I demanded to speak to the manager. The manager then assured me that he will put CUSTOMER HAS CREDIT TOWARDS BRAKE REPAIR UNLIMITED TIME for the diagnostic fee I paid so I can get it done when ever I want. I told him that I want extra discount and he smiled and said, he is going to give me an additional 10% off on my brake works which he also put in the system as CUTOMER TO RECEIVE A 10% DISCOUNT TOWARDS BRAKE REPLACEMENT. 2 weeks ago I got the brakes dones and was not credited my diagnostic fee saying that it had to be done within a month even though the guy at the counter read to me that the manager put in the comments as CREDIT TOWARDS BRAKE REPAIR UNLIMITED TIME and 10% OFF. but the dumb guy only read 10% off and said the 10% off is unlimited. How dumb can one be ?
I would ask everyone to avoid Nissan Advantage Service Department located at 200 Charlotte Ave. Hicksville NY 11801. All they want to do is make to sign in the diagnostic service so you are bound to have the work done from them even if the work is topping some fluid which you could do on your own. They deserve a 0 star as review but unfortunately the lowest this site allows is 1 star (awful). I would never recommend these people to anyone. Its better to get the work done from your local mechanic and if a part is needed then buy it from nissan parts to stick to nissan genuine parts.
I was considering to purchase a 2012 path finder but because of the service departments attitude I am going for a Honda pilot now.
