Amazing shop

The review by Todd2002bmw is beyond strange- he has been a regular at the shop for years; we did alot of work not only on his vehicle but friends of his as well that he sent our way...

Im trying to figure out why he now is trying to slander the shop? You can read this same review on TONS of pages - someone has a lot of time on their hands??

In June 2009, we installed an aftermarket M3 bumper (suppli... view moreed by customer) it is a known fact aftermarket parts do not align perfectly he was ok with this when the work was originally done as he liked the look of the bumpers and because they were only slightly off...

In March 2011 we repaired said aftermarket bumper, which should have been replaced, to help save the customer money.

In April this customer went on other websites complaing about his sunroof leaking stating it was from work done at Amherst Collision, although it is a common problem with BMW`s you can google it and find tons of links talking about it clogged sunroof drains.

In May he sent a letter to the shop claiming to sue them for the water problem. He never once mentioned having a problem with the bumper repair that was done as he is stating here in his review.

He has now spent DAYS going on different webites leaving this same review and threatening to sue the shop for the bumper repair?

It looks as though someone has alot of spare time on their hands - maybe they are out of work and looking for money? The shop has yet to see anything from an attorney - maybe Todd thinks by coming on all these sites and leaving a bad review the shop will give him money to go away and stop this non sence?

Seems fishy to me... If I have a problem with a business I go to the BBB to file a claim - yet as of date there isnt one?

If a customer has a legit problem with repairs done at the shop the owner and guys will always fix the problem, no questions asked. Amherst Street Collision takes pride in their work, and lets face it happy customers are what keeps a business going.

The reason Todd did not get a response or money back is because the claim he sent to the shop is a bogus one.

If he would like to take the shop to court so that they can clear their name I am sure they would be happy to explain everything to the judge.

Please Read

I never write reviews and felt compelled to write this one to help honest hardworking people make the right decision before spending a lot of money to have body work done at Amherst Street Collision. Recently I took my BMW to have the front bumper repaired at Amherst Street Collision. The owner Todd is friendly and knowledgeable - unfortunately, the rest of his shop help does not provide quality work. Todd had... view more provided an estimated of 3 days to repair and paint my front bumper. Three days turned into 6 days, and when I picked up my car, they did not align my front bumper properly; they had dropped the bumper during installation because there was a chip taken out of the corner of the bumper. And within 2 weeks, the paint started peeling around the edges. I have called the owner Todd numerous times, and sent him a demand letter for a refund and still have not heard back from him. Unfortunately, I need to proceed to file this with the Southern NH Small Claims Court to recover the costs of a bad paint/installation job. Be cautious when selecting a body shop. My recommendation is to ask friends or co-workers where they get their automotive body work done.
