I have no idea who/why/what/how these other two reviewers had a bad experience. I am not even sure of the truth of it. This shop is one of the best repair shops I have been to in over 50 years. They have helped some of my employees get AFFORDABLE repairs on clunkers - on two occasions allowing them to keep the car (rather than junking) and in one case still have a car. They do excellent repair work and cost less ... view morethan many others and always less than a dealer. These guys are great. Now, for these two other reviewers - they are the bozos and their complaints make them look foolish at best. So try Sierra Automotive. They do superior work always. On second thought, they are only OK. No need to keep them too busy. I do not want to delay my repairs and auto work. I like their fast service. Perhaps only go their occasionally - so they have enough business, but can still give me fast service!! :-)

I agree 100% regarding Sierra Automotive. The Owner is definitely walking a fine line, and CROSSED this line in many ways that he shouldn`t have on more than one occasion, including stalking, tresspassing, and in my opinion stealing. I do not recommend Sierra Automotive under any circumstances, and have more than passed this word along. Not a good way to run a business, and a local business at that.

Beware Physical Assault, Sexual Discrimination and Being Ripped-off! The business agreed to "check out" my daughter`s vehicle and prepare a repair estimate. They did not communicate any financial obligation or commitment for doing so, nor was any permission or consent given by my daughter or myself. After declining the -excessive- repair estimate, the business refused to release the vehicle and d... view moreemanded an $89 "diagnostic" fee. According to NV law, no charge over $50 can be charged without -written consent-. They never said anything about any fee to look at the vehicle. No consent was ever given, written or verbal. While arguing this fact, the business`s representative physically assaulted me (criminal investigation in progress). After the assault, the business`s 2 representatives threatened me once again to leave the premises, hitting me with the door in the back as I was leaving and calling the police. Subsequently, they "club-locked" the vehicle. Only after reporting the assault to the RENO PD and their illegal activity to the Nevada DMV did the owner of the business release the vehicle without charge. It it unconscionable that this stereo-type still exists today. They tried to force my daughter to pay something she does not own in order to get her vehicle back and assaulted me when I refused to pay.One would think this place was run by the Mob...demanding payoffs, abusing women and perpetrating violence when they don`t get what they want. Do not use this business under any circumstances!
