Reviews:

I cannot believe that the service department was so rude here. I brought my truck in a couple of months back that I had just purchased private party out of Arizona. I took it to the guys at Michael Hohl because I wanted my truck dealer-maintained and I figured I could trust these guys to look over my truck. Chris, a heavy-set gentleman was the man that `helped` me. I had told Chris that I knew the truck had an elect... view morerical quirk or two and that was why I was bringing it in. Chris proceeds to publicly humiliate me by telling me in a very loud voice that I am naive for purchasing a private party vehicle. He proceeds to exclaim that the truck has electrical issues (defroster and seat), THE EXACT REASONS I BROUGHT IT IN, HELLO? NO KIDDING! He continued to make me feel like a complete idiot and finished by saying that I shouldn`t be cheap by buying private party. Words do not do a justice as to how rude he was. He was horrifyingly rude and fortunately, 2 customers approached me afterwards and said they will never bring their cars there again after seeing that. I am beside myself with what to think.

We bought a 2008 Yukon XL Denali January 12th. This is a "Certified" used vehicle and we were assured of a "12 month Bumper to Bumper" warranty. Everything seemed OK at first. They were supposed to replace a couple of things and order an owner`s manual. It took several phone calls (the salesman never called back) and a month to get the parts and get an appointment to have them put in. We also ... view moretold them that the tire pressure monitor needed service, that the outside mirrors went bonkers when we tried to use the memory position buttons and they would not fold in.. When we came back from lunch to check on the progress, our service person was gone and we were given the paperwork by another guy, being told that everything was fine. Then I read the paperwork and it said that "sales advised customer that mirrors were not compatiblefolding or memory function". What???? So I went back in and asked they person that was there what that meant. He said they may be aftermarket mirrors and they don`t work, probably because that vehicle didn`t have that function. We asked why it would have the buttons if it didn`t have that function. He said if the buttons were there then it did have that function. What???? So, after confronting our salesman, it turns out that they new the mirrors didn`t work and that they didn`t want to fix it because its expensive. They also tried to claim that they told us that, which is absolutely NOT TRUE!!! One minute they`re telling us it`s the aftermarket mirrors, but we called them on that and they said they were GM mirrors. They story kept changing. The salesman said he would talk to the manager again. After waiting at least another 1/2 hour, we went to find salesman (who was in the lot with another customer, not with the manager). We confronted him again. He said they could unplug the power mirrors and just make them manual mirrors. NOT acceptable! He talked to the manager and said they would have to contact GM to find out if they would back the repair. What??? That they would have to call us in a few days. I`m not holding my breath, but you can bet we will be calling them! DON`T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! They hide things and lie to cover it up!!!! If they would have been straight with us, we would have been repeat customers, but now they have lost our business for good. These people give GM a bad name!

Hohl should take a lesson from Champion
12 years ago we bought a Suburban from Valley Chevrolet (back then we had two Chey dealers in Carson City - today we only have one). Ever since our purchase we have always had the service done at the dealer. Hohl Chevrolet is at the south end of town and Valley was at the north end (near where we live). Hohl Chevrolet bought Valley about two years ago and then closed that dealership. We had been having trouble ... view morewith the driver`s interior door handle so we went by the Hohl service department to see if they could take a look at it and fix it. We were told that they were booked full that day but we could make an appointment for the next day... and we did. We were asked what time would be best for us and my husband asked how early we could get in. 7am... we were told and so we made the appointment. The next day my husband goes down to Hohl for the 7am appointment. He calls home at about 7:10 to say that the mechanics don`t get in until 8 but that they have a shuttle at 7:30 that will give him a ride. Not a problem... at approximately 7:40 he calls to let me know that he will be waiting at the dealers because the shuttle doesn`t service "our area"!! What!! When we made the appointment they pulled up our records - 12 years of service with the same address. They are the ONLY Chevy authorized service in town... they are the ONLY Chevy dealer in town!! Well, as you can guess, I told my husband to get the car and come home. The next day (Friday) we were up in Reno. We stopped at Champion Chevrolet and asked them if someone could look at the door handle and fix it. Even though all the bays were full they looked, said they need to order some parts, but could make a appointment for us on Monday if we wanted. We made the appointment, when they asked for our name all our information came up on the computer screen, they told us that the mechanics did not start until 8am, the repair would take about two hours, and that they had shuttle service but it only serviced Reno proper. Wow, what a concept - complete information for the customer. Our home is 7 miles from Hohl Chevrolet (at the north end of town where Valley Cherolet used to be) and they could not shuttle my husband home. Champion Chevrolet is 30 miles +/- from our home but we will be doing business with them from now on.
