Reviews:

New Bedford Maaco awful !
The New Bedford Maaco is terrible in every way possible ! They made promises of time that they did not keep. They had the car for over a month to do a 1 week job, always excuses. They job was OK, not perfect, but paint started pealing, the seams began to go out of alignment so I took it back. They said fix, no problem. It is much worse! The paint is pealing cause incorrect primer and cheap paint (had someone else loo... view morek at it). The paint has bubbles in it and dust bits from a dirty shop. The seams at various panel connects and around the headlights are way out of alignment. They don`t know what they are doing, the back shop is a mess (not a good sign of careful workmanship), and they`ll say anything. STAY AWAY !!!!

GO ELSEWHERE!!!!
Maaco had my car for 4 weeks, they did a terrible job. They left paint all over my windows and stole things out of my car. I went to pick up my car and had to wait 30 minutes for it. They also were talking badly about other customers in front of me. Very unprofessional.

GO TO FALL RIVER
I needed my 2001 Ford truck painted. I did the logical thing and asked my long time mechanic for his advice. He told me Maaco painted two of his own cars and always sent people there. He never heard of anyone being unhappy and highly recommended them. He showed me his Caddy, and man, was it nice. Shined like it was new and the paint was two years old. I was glad to hear that seeing they are the best when it comes... view more to prices. So off I went to the New Bedford Maaco. They gave me a price of $1200.00, which was 2,000 less than anyone else. They told me it would be ready in a week. 7 days later I went to go pick it up, and I couldn?????????t believe my eyes. My truck is white and there was black specks all over the areas around the wheels. Upon closer inspection there were runs all over the truck and paint on all of my trim. I talked to the owner, Rudy, and he said he would ?????????fix????????? it. 11 days later my truck was finally ready. Now it?????????s 18 days they had my truck. In the mean time I called my mechanic and told him what happened. He couldn?????????t believe it. He said he never had a problem. He told me to talk to the owner and gave me his card. That is when we realized that he went to the Maaco in Fall River, not New Bedford. He didn?????????t even realize there was one in New Bedford. I figured it was no big deal, they were all the same and went to go get my truck. The truck was even worse the second time. I had paint all over my interior. The steering wheel. The door handle. Even the radio. I needed my truck and really didn?????????t want to keep arguing with Rudy and said forget it. Three months later I got hit by a pizza delivery guy. The owner said he would like to pay out of pocket and he sent all his work to Maaco. After my last experience I said forget it. I told him what happened and he said he never dealt with the New Bedford Maaco, only the Fall River Maaco. I was hesitant, but decided that two recommendations from two different people, was worth the chance. Again, off I went to Maaco. This time it was Fall River. When I came in for the estimate I noticed a few things that were dramatically different. The Fall River was unbelievably clean and very professional. They asked questions about where the truck was painted before (they could obviously tell it was painted). Once they learned the vehicle was painted in the New Bedford Maaco, and I was unhappy, the manager got the owner involved. He apologized for all the issues and said he would make it ?????????right?????????. Man, did he live up to his word. He repainted my whole truck (mostly at his own expense). Removed all the runs and paint on my trim. He even cleaned the inside. Bottom line: Big difference in Maacos. If you are in South Eastern Mass and need a Maaco, GO TO FALL RIVER; NOT NEW BEDFORD!!!!
