It`s so refreshing to find an honest mechanic. I took my 1992 VW Cabriolet here for service after first taking it to a different mechanic who said it had a blown head gasket, among other problems. Pete Ankers took a look at it and told me the head gasket was fine, and said half of the repairs the first mechanic recommended were not necessary. He ended up saving me over $2,000 compared to the estimate I received from ... view morethe first mechanic. I will always take my car here for service.

They Got an Attitude When They Screwed Up

They repaired my VW in a timely fashion for a good price, but a few days later my front turn signal light fell off my car. I then inspected my other front turn signal, and noticed that it was loose and about to fall off as well. I called up Ankers and asked them if they had to remove the turn signal lights when they repaired my car, at first they denied that they did, but then called back to let me know they had in... view moredeed removed them. At this point I asked for a replacement light, since they didn`t reinstall my front turn signals properly (the lights were definitely not loose before I took my car to Ankers). This caused them to get an attitude, and told me they would replace my light, but that they would never work on my car again, effectively banning me from their shop. I would hope that a mechanic would stand by his work, this shop definitely does not.
