dont go to cartunes for ANY reason

I went to cartunes at about 4:30 today 4/21/11. I needed 30 ft of 8 gauge power wire and maybe a couple 12s. I quickly realized their prices are not affordable. I decided to just get the wire and move on. I ask for 30 ft and the clown behind the counter rings me up for 48 dollars. He spools wire off and barely measures. This is not uncommon while selling bulk wire I figure he`s adding a few extra feet to be sure ... view moreits enough. I ask the guy if I can return it if I don`t use it. He says for store credit. I leave and quickly call streetbeat who is WAY better on price. I grab the high quality Memphis wire for much less. I quickly go back to cartoons and walk in less than 25 minutes after my original cartunes purchase. It`s a different guy at the counter. He looks at my receipt and actually measures the wire out fully. It`s only 23 feet! Great. He tells me he will only return the store credit for 23 feet of wire. I explain how his employee measured incorrectly and he says no way. He even tells me he`s got security cameras to prove it. I`m livid, and tell him to go watch his employee not measure it on camera. I go out to my truck and smoke a cig and give him time to review it. I walk back in and he just went and asked the employee if he measured. Of course he said he measured it right. So I`m screwed. I ask why he didn`t review the tape and he says he can`t. His owner Joe needs to review it, help be in tomorrow. Now he tells me that Joe has me on camera stealing a speaker a week ago! WTF!!! Now I`m a thief! Too bad i haven`t been in there for months! These people are scammers. Nothing in there store is on sale. And if anything goes wrong their staff will team up on you to screw you as hard as they can. I`m going in tomorrow but expect more of the same. I`ll update when things go good/bad.

Horrible Service

I took my car here to get a stereo put in. I took my car home the same day. The next day when I went to unlock my car (it has keyless entry) The alarm started going off and wouldn`t stop even while driving. I took the car back to have them look at it once it started working and they said that there was nothing wrong with it. The manager told me that he guarentee`s the work. Later that day it did it again so I called ... view morethe guy and he told me to get it checked somewhere else and if it is their fault they would take car of it. So I took it to Joe Self and they kept it over night. They said something was wrong with the battery connection that it was loose. but when I went to pick it up it had started acting up again. After leaving it there over the weekend they said the stereo system and wires were installed incorrectly and charged me over 200 dollars. When I took my reciept in to Cartunes the guy had a attitude and refused to claim fault for the stereo. He even called Joe Self and argued with them about the problem. He said he wanted to fix the problem so he offered me 100 dollars off my next purchase. I will never purchase anything else from them.
