My check engine light was on in my car for a few weeks. I don`t know much about cars or where to get one fixed. After doing a Google search Poor Mans Towing came up with great reviews so I stopped there. They ran a diagnostic and I realized that I needed my timing belt changed out and new wires put in. I been a customer with this company for about 3 years now. My first encounter was a lasting one. I took my Chevy Caprice in to have the fuel pump fixed and after I was given such a good discount on the labor I`ve been going back ever since. They`ve also done a great and speedy repair on my wife`s Grand Prix. Fixing her pads shoes and starter was no problem.

The perfect paint job!!!

This is the spot!!! I am truly in to mom and pop shops and these fellows right here made my day. I brought my grandmothers old iron chair here to c if they could help. I kno, it`s a auto repair, but I nu tht they painted car... Need less to say, they got the chair together and it looks great!!!! U don`t kno if u don`t asked. I`m super happy:)))

My car had stop on west 38th Street I had called around to get a tow and all the places I called either had a long wait or the price was to expensive. Then I ask some at the gas station worker if they knew of a reasonable towing company and they recommended Poor Man`s Towing and Auto repair. When I called for a quote the lady mention that they did auto repair. They not only came right away and got me and my daughter ... view morebut they also took it to their shop. I had just started a new job and did not have a lot of money for my car to be fix. I explain to them I really needed my car to get to my new job and to take my daughter to day care. There prices where very reasonable and they was able to get my car fix that day because they stay to make sure my car was running perfectly. That has been over six months ago and my car is still running great. They where such a life saver.

straight ripoff

my daughter took her car in and was told certain things would be done. When we went back to get the car those things weren`t done , but the price hadn`t changed. They charged 594.00 for valve cover gaskets 1,tune up and o2 sensors ,not , i will be back up there tomorrow as the owner magically disappeared when she went back to get the car after being the one who set the deal. staight ripoff

*********** BEWARE*************

I used poormans several months ago to replace my alternator on my car. It took them three days to do that and it wasnt done right. I got my car back on a Monday, drove it that Tuesday and by that thursday I had issues again. The serpintine belt broke but upon further inspection the pully was never tightened. They towed my car on a Sunday. Monday was a Holliday so they were closed. I went by Tuesday afternoon and noon... view moree was woking on my car. I asked why not and they said that the mechanic that worked on it wasnt there. I said good because I dont want the idiot that made the mistake the first time making it again. they said they will get someone on it. I went back Wendsday morning and my car was still in the same spot. No one had worked on it. I asked what the problem was and they said they couldnt find my car key. Needless to say I was very pissed , so I threatened them. I said if my car is not ready by this afternoon they would hear from my lawyer. My car was ready that evening before they closed. I was handed a bill for $ 95 for towing and replacing the belt. I grabbed the bill, tore it up, grabbed my keys and said ( with a smile on my face ) KISS MY BLACK A** and have a nice day. I have heard other terrible stories about them and I would not recommend POORMANS AUTO REPAIR to anyone.
