Best Service Around

I have been taking my vehicles to Castleton Auto Repair for 14 years now, since the time I was a college student. They serviced my vehicle then, and they continue to service the vehicles my husband and I now own. We have never once had a single issue with Castleton Auto Repair. Not only has our service been top notch, but the customer service has al... view moreways gone above and beyond what we would have ever expected for an auto repair shop. They are all very friendly, helpful, and have even given me a ride to wherever I needed to get to if I was stuck there without transportation. I think their superior service is a result of it being family-owned, rather than your run of the mill chain. There have been many times in the past in which I (we) recieved the best quote around. I especially love that at times when I`ve had to run a vehicle by without an appt., they were almost always able to accomodate me--even if that meant they couldn`t do the actual work for me right then and there, they would at least make sure it was safe for me to drive until an appt. could be made. This may not be as important to some, but one of the qualities I appreciate as well is how clean and nice the lobby is. It is especially appreciated when I have to bring one of my young children in. It is certainly not your average auto repair shop! I will always take my vehicle(s) to Castleton Auto Repair for service, and they are the only place I ever recommend. As for me, I have had no complaints in the 14 yrs. of utilizing Castleton Auto, have received superior quality service, and enjoy supporting a local business whenever possible. If you haven`t given Castleton Auto Repair a chance, you won`t regret it--especially in this economy when you are able to keep your vehicle(s) running efficiently past 100k miles due to the superior knowledge/service of Castleton Auto Repair.

CASTLETON AUTO IS THE BEST!

I`ve been taking my cars to Castleton Auto for several years now and seriously can not Thank them enough. Every once in awhile I take my car to the dealership because it is close to work... when the dealership gives me the quote I about pass-out and have literally spent days worrying about the unexpected costs. told me I did not need a service that I asked for!

I went there to get a job done (factory bad engine gasket replacement) that the dealership told me I needed. I asked for the quote, and was pretty much going to get it done along with some other things. They told me that they could tell the job had already been done by the color of the sealant (service done by previous vehicle owner apparently). The dealer was trying to rip me off, Castleton Auto Repair saved me $50... view more0 bucks or so on that alone. Also did a nice job on a wheel bearing and brakes.

Failure to Launch...

Ignoring the ""NO SOLICITING"" signs posted--clearly--at the gate of my community to go knocking door-to-door with a $70 sales pitch (expected to be paid on the spot, no less!) at 8p.m. is an immediate customer service failure. Congratulations on your self-defeating tactics. Now the next time I DO need an oil change, I know which business not to support.

Disastrous Experience

Took my vehicle in to have a part replaced, cam sensor. They couldn`t get the cover off the cam sensor so they broke it and a piece of it fell down onto the timing belt. When they couldn`t get it started they said it was the starter, but after replacing the starter, it still wouldn`t start. We had it towed to an engine shop where they found the issue and documented it. Castleton Auto refuses to stand behind it, sayin... view moreg that we, the owners, had worked on the car previously, so we could have done it. We did not work on it previously and we drove it there and they drove it into the shop. There was extensive engine damage - about $4000 in repairs. So much for having a simple part replaced.

Great Service and Trusted Repair

C.A.R. has friendly customer service and I trust that they only fix what needs fixing. They work quickly and provide quotes before the work is done. I highly recommend this shop!

Great Service, Proffesional

After being disappointed by chain garages, I found CAR and now get all my family`s vehicles, and most of my friends`, serviced there. They are real pros, doing all they can to get the job done right. They work quickly, and always provide a quote before they begin work, so no crazy fees like other places. All in all they are the best in Indy.
