Excellent, honest service

Car-X in Castleton always provides friendly, honest service with a smile. When I take my car here, they ALWAYS provide high quality service, and they are honest about what needs to be repaired. I usually end up paying less than what I expect. When I talk to the mechanic, I feel like my little brother is telling me about my car - even though I don`t know the guy. She was ecstatic. They just smiled and told her that it was just a small thing. The more often I bring my car to Car-X, the more I feel like I never want to take it anywhere else.

Great Place for Vehicle Service

We all know how difficult it is to find an honest service repair shop. You bring your vehicle in for a repair and the next thing you know you get a long list of things that need to be repaired.
Having a very old truck, I was a little hesitant to bring it in; but I was determined to say no when this list was presented to me.
These guys were GREAT! They did my repair quickly and efficently. There was no pressure ... view morefor additional repairs; which I knew had to be done at some point. I was shown what was wrong with what I wanted repaired, and a little ""advice"" for future maintenance. Frank, you`re GREAT! This is the kind of place where you will have a repeat customer!! I`ll get my additional repairs done soon, but at least I know that my vehicle is safe to drive. Guys, thanks for a terrific job!!!

Honest garage!

Took my wife`s car in there after we were certain the brakes needed replaced. We even told them, the brakes need to be replaced. The took a look, called us back and told us the brakes were still good. No charge. An opportunity to make a buck we were willing to hand over and they refused. That`s our garage for all things now.

The only place in Indy where I will take my car

I moved to Indianapolis and had no idea of where to get my car worked on. Living in Castleton, I stumbled in to the Car-X on 82nd street. These guys are the most honest, efficient mechanics I have ever come across. Driving an older car with quite a few miles, I expect mechanics to throw me everything in the book when I take my car in, with estimates of astronomical proportions. Not these ones! They`ll tell me what I ... view morecan scrape by on, what parts are hanging by a moment, and what DOESN`T need to be fixed. This is good, as I`m a little paranoid about my brakes. Every time I take my car in I ask them to check them out. Every time they haven`t needed any work. It`s a testament to these mechanics that they`re NOT taking advantage of a clueless, paranoid, young lady. Like I`ve touched on before, I`m accustomed to shady mechanics, but I walk out of this place spending LESS than I had expected when I walked in. They are very upfront about the price, when they give you an estimate, and there are no ""surprises"" along the way.

Also, I`m using their free wireless right now to write this review. Definitely an added bonus!
