After going to the dealer for repairs and maintenance work, I finally had enough of the high $$ repair bills and countless headaches of waiting days for completion. It had saved me $400. 3 years later, I take all of my cars to G&G and always recommend family and friends there. In 2006 I was recommended to go to G & G Automotive for a routine check up and oil change. Once I walked through that door, I was greeted by the owner, Phet. Truly, Phet is a wonderful individual. Unlike many other mechanics, Phet seemed honest, caring, and trustworthy. I recommended my father to go see Phet, since his last mechanic was cheating him. Three years have gone by since we have been loyal customers, and ... view morenow; unfortunately; G & G`s service isn`t as great as it used to be. G & G has been charging my father for miscellaneous repairs and parts every few months, and none of these parts cost south of $250. In mid April of 2010, my fathers brake pads and rotors were becoming worn out. Since I`ve had some experience with auto repair (I worked as a mechanic during my high school years), I decided to help my father save money and install the brakes myself. I bought the parts directly from the Lexus dealership for close to $275. Less than a month later (May 6th, 2010), my father went to Phet for an oil change. Later that day, Phet recommended that he get his brakes and rotors replaced since they were seriously worn for the special price of $450 + Labor. Prior to this ""misunderstanding"", I took my car into G & G to get an illuminated check engine light checked. I was told it was an O2 sensor, and was charged $80 for parts and labor. Recently, I found out that the reason the Check Engine light doesn`t light up anymore is because the G & G crew decided to remove the Check Engine light bulb. Thank goodness I discovered this problem before something else required my attention. Although Phet used to provide exceptional customer service in the beginning, he has proved the stereotype that all mechanics are untrustworthy. Sorry Phet, but you just lost two loyal customers.

Phet and Crew are northshores finest auto clinic. My Familes Mercedes ML320 is dedicated to all its auto tune ups and repairs to G & G Automotives services. Is one of a kind. He goes above and beyond in customer service. I live in the western surburbs and will travel to Skokie for the best auto service around.

Had a problem and took the car to countryside Mazda quoted $1200.00 and diagnosis was wrong. G & G $300.00 problem solved.

I started going to Phet (owner) in 2007. I continue to go there because he treats me well, gives me a fair price and after I go to him I don`t find ""other"" things wrong with my car a week later, which sometimes happened with other mechanics I used to go to. I have recommended him to several friends and they all say the same things. Phet knows his stuff and he would not rip you off! He tells me what`s wrong, walks me over to the car and shows me the problem just like he does for the men. A mechanic that`s not a chauvinist. IT`S A MIRACLE!

I have a Mercedes E Class and have been going to the dealer for years till I came upon the sign in the window @ G&G Automotive for ""MERCEDES BENZ OIL CHANGE SPECIAL."" I thought I`d give them a try. To my surprise, Phet was very knowledgeable about Mercedes Benz vehicles. He changed my oil at a great deal. A monthe later, I went back for BRAKES and have had no problems. i came across g&g auto thru word of mouth from friends who had been going to this shop. i live in chgo and was a bit reluctant to make the drive to skokie, but phet (the owner) came VERY HIGHLY recommended!

take the drive out there! it`s worth the trip! your car (and wallet) will thank you!! the shop is not too far from old orchard mall, so you can get in a day of shopping if you want!

Phet is honest and listens to the issues you`re having, and then comes up with the solution. He`s quick, but thorough. It amazes me when I call there and tell him who I am, and he remembers me & my car! You won`t get that at just any automotive specialist. I would HIGHLY recommend.

I`ve been going to G&G for quite a few years now. When Gus sold it to Phet, I wasn`t too happy that he was gone as I really trusted him. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that Phet is not only carrying on the tradition of honesty but has even improved upon it. He`s a family oriented guy and super nice. He`s been great with everything I`ve thrown at him. He`s so straightforward and honest that I can almost call hi... view morem a friend. If his shop can fix it, they will, and in a timely manner. Your car won`t sit there for days before they touch it. The shop doesn`t look like much, it`s not all fancy with high priced equipment and shiny floors but Phet has real problem solving mechanics there, not just robotic dealership mechs that can only fix what`s outlined in a manual. His rates are reasonable too. One of my cars is a show car and his shop is the ONLY shop I would ever trust with it. It`s so hard to find a good mechanic but Phet is a gem in a sea of coal. I HIGHLY recommend him to everyone I know.
