I took my car in there for a starter replacement. When I got it back, I had a check engine light on - pulling the code with a code scanner showed that the problem was that the knock sensor was`t detected. The knock sensor on this car is right next to the starter, so I figured they probably disconnected it to make room and didn`t reconnect it. I told them I wanted it fixed, but it could wait until I had time to not... view more have my car for a day or two again. I had to take it back a couple weeks later because it wasn`t starting; they charged me $100 and the problem turned out to be that the bolt that holds the positive cable for the starter in place wasn`t tightened down enough and shook loose - and they were the ones who put the bolt in. When I got the car back, the throttle linkage was on too tight; thankfully, it`s easy enough to loosen, so I just corrected it myself. I had to take it back again a couple more weeks later. Turned out that the positive battery terminal was loose this time - I was a bit embarrassed that I didn`t check this first, but they didn`t charge labor. What they did do, however, was torque the nut on the terminal all the way on such that the terminal was stretched well farther than it`s supposed to. And I had to take it back again another few weeks later. They replaced the starter again, this time. Charged me full parts/labor for it (they did not supply the original starter); the knock sensor turned out to be broken, and they charged me full price for the cost of that even though they`re the ones who broke it; and they charged full parts/labor to replace the valve cover gasket, which is completely unrelated and they were not authorized to do. Additionally, they were specifically instructed to give me the defective starter back (I agreed to pay for the core charge) so that I could return it to the original vendor for a refund; however, they sent it back as a core replacement to their supplier anyway. To top it off, there were several things wrong when I got it back: * They attached the throttle linkage even more wrong than they did the first time; the cruise control cable was attached to the pedal cable`s pulley and vice versa, so the throttle was stuck open considerably (not just a couple percent, like the first time), and it was not possible to open it all the way. * They did not attach the air intake elbow correctly, causing the intake pipe to pop out and unfiltered air to be entering the throttle body. * They did not put the hose clamps back on the brake booster hose. Do not take your vehicle to them. They`re incompetent, and incapable of following direct instructions.
