Oz Winery had very high hopes about the integration of Napa Valley POS and our Quickbooks software. Unfortunately, due to miscommunication from more than one NVPOS representative, several functions of the program were not possible, and therefore kept us from having a smooth integration, if any at all. Oz Winery was promised a flawless integration between Napa Valley POS and Quickbooks. We were promised that several functions and operations would be possible in order to keep current bookkeeping seamlessly up-to-date, but upon installing the hardware and software, we found many tasks were not available. Some hardware failed to work properly (the poll display often shut off on its own, the main monitor had major issues with POS screens disappearing), and there was almost zero integration between the NVPOS and Quickbooks. Communicating the lengthy list of problems did not result in timely and concise customer service, but in delayed responses and what could be described as lack-of-concern and inadequate answers. We were very disappointed in the difference between what was promised from this program and its representatives, and what we actually received. Once, we were even referred to another person for help, who was completely outside of the NVPOS company, and had absolutely no help to offer us. In fact, he had no idea why he was referred to from NVPOS. Ultimately, the support we had paid for was useless and we had to hire outside help to attempt to solve the NVPOS based problems. We were not reimbursed for these expenditures. Several basic functions in the program (ie, printing price tags, making quantity adjustments, and setting up security features for employees) were extremely tedious and time-consuming. Compared to our original POS, in general, the program is not user-friendly; it is very difficult to find answers on your own in NVPOS. More than once, it was suggested that certain tasks be completed in our original POS instead of NVPOS, which is the opposite of what we were promised before installing this program. Oz Winery was very excited to be switching from a general retail-based POS, to Napa Valley POS, which could provide more functionality specifically designed for wineries, but we were let down and returned the entire system & hardware. To add salt to the wound, even though we only had the hardware and software for 3 weeks, spent thousands of dollars on support which could not be used, and returned all components in the condition that we received them, we received a partial, insignificant refund. Due to all of these disappointments, we strongly recommend you do business with other retails POS companies.
