I really really really didn`t want to write a review because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I was left with no choice. I wish I could give more details as to my situation but I am scared that they will know who I am and give me more problems. The one star reviews on here are actually being incredibly generous. The guy took advantage of me and he knew exactly what he was doing. He made promises over... view more and over to make sure that the car was taken car of but in the end he is only concerned about his pockets. The sales tactic to get the 34% is to guilt you into it. Maybe that is the only he can make a profit but really the best marketing since the beginning of time has and always will be word of mouth. He sold me a car that he knew didn`t work and every time I took it in he reset the computer information and told me nothing was wrong with it. Gran it, it`s my responsibility to take care of the car but when you are paying a 34% interest rate and full coverage insurance you really don`t have room to play around with major repairs. He wanted to make sure months went by so he wouldn`t be held responsible for selling me a car with known issues. The list goes on and on and on. Let me just say that these type of buy here pay here loans are designed to make you fail. They make more money if you do. They don`t make money if you don`t. You barely make the car payment with the enormous interest rate and then the car breaks down and you can`t afford the car because you have lost your job so you default and then they repossess the car and then resell. There are ALOT of good used car dealers in the area that do buy here pay here loans for those with bad credit. This is not one of them. I was truly desperate and now I am in deeper financial issues then when I started.

Lying scumbags. The person who wrote the five star review above either works for them or is drooling in a corner somewhere. Copes Auto are lying scumbags. They lured me over with the promise of a low down payment. When I got there they said my credit was fine, but they would need more down with no qualified reason. Then they said I don`t qualify for the low milage car for $6,000, I only qualify for the high milage c... view morear for $6,000. On the phone they said they cover all their cars with a 100,000 mile warranty. When I got there they tacked on $1500 and said that was for the warranty. Then they hit with a 30% interest rate! When I asked why these things weren`t said to me on the phone, the weasal looked me right in the eye and said, "We lied to you." When I asked why they would do that he said, "You wouldn`t have come in today if we told you the truth." An honest thief. Scumbag, lying sack of dog crap pigs. (They make me put at least one star to post this. Negative stars, they get negative stars.)

I bought my first car from here. I just moved to sacramento and couldn`t get a car anywhere. Didn`t have much down, but this place worked with me and sold me a car. I paid it off in a few years and sold it to someone else. Still runs great. I wanted a SUV so they went out and got the one I wanted from auction and gave me a good deal because I paid off my other car with them.

TERRIBLE!!!! They sold me a car that would not pass smog 2 months after I bought it!!!! They had to of had it illegally smogged but I don`t know how to prove it.
