Beware! The good times at Ronin have long been gone. I used to be a customer here for the last 3 years. This place used to be the best. Unfortunately, times have changed. The old crew is gone and a new(shady) one has taken over. Matt the owner is a nice guy. However, I DO NOT trust their mechanics and I highly suggest you take your car somewhere else! Heres what happened last week, I leave my car on a Wed to... view more have a few hoses replaced. Later that day I get a call from the gentlemen at the shop telling me about how the radiator needed to be replaced and it would be around $500 or so. And that this was a bigger issue than the hoses. I told him that I wouldn`t be able to afford the repair at the moment and that I would come by to pick up my car. So after work, I got a ride to the shop to pick up my car. This is where things got really strange. Here`s exactly what happened when I asked for my car keys, 1) Tells me first that the radiator is broken and that I can`t drive my car at all. 2) After I tell him it was just a leak and you guys said it would be ok to take it. He tells me that parts have already been ordered. 3) I told him that I didnt authorize to have my car fix yet. 4) Now he tells me I have to pay $60 for an inspection or he won`t give me my car. Now I don`t mind paying this at all if it is a service I requested. But how dare he tell me that the only way to get my keys is to pay for a service I didn`t ask for. 5) He now tells me that I signed a piece of paper that showed I would be charged $60. I asked to see the piece of paper that I signed. He started fumbling through stacks of paper. He couldn`t find anything (bc i never signed one). He then finally hands me the keys and then tells me to never come back. I hadn`t raised my voice, made any comments to him up to now. And now he`s yelling at me to never come back. I`m shocked at this point. 6) So I walk towards my car and begin to get in it. He continues yelling at me again and now he`s holding a piece of paper saying look you signed it. Apparently trying to show me something I didn`t really sign. I walk towards him asking him to show me the paper and that I would go pay for the service if I really signed it. I couldn`t really see what he was holding up. He then takes the piece of paper and tucks it away. This whole time telling me never to come back tot he shop, etc. I`ve never met someone so disrespectful and in my life. Especially I hadn`t done anything wrong. It`s so bizarre that I`m still kinda shocked it all I`ve come to realize that I will no longer leave my car at Ronin. I do not trust their mechanics at all! I suspect that the damage to my radiator was possible caused by the mechanic (Chad) himself. There was no issues at all with my radiator until he worked on my car. Good luck, find another mechanic!
