This is the kinda place you wish did everything automotive!
Pete should teach a class to the rest of the auto shop`s here in town, about integrity and good old business ethics This guys as down to earth as they come. Everybody working in that shop is on top of their game when it comes to what they do there, and they won`t look down their noses at you or try to take advantage of you because you are educationally out of your element in a transmission shop. Outstanding, Professional Service
I was experiencing issues with my transmission and took it to Pete`s. From the moment I stepped into their shop until I picked up my car and left I felt well taken care of and properly informed of all that was going on with my transmission. Scott at the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, as well was the tech that worked on my car, whom walked through all that would be done and why showing me my par... view morets and what caused my issues. Wrapping up my transaction with Pete himself today capped off a great experience with this shop. My transmission feels like its brand new, my car drives wonderfully and I could not ask for a better group of people to be a customer of. Outstanding service, excellent communication and reasonable prices for truly great work. Hats off to Petes.

Honest and caring customer service
Both Scott and Pete are extremely helpful and honest. They are the type that you can trust and don`t mind to go. Being a female you really don`t want to go to the auto shop if you can help it, but they are just like your father that you can trust even they are younger than me!!!!

Honest / Professional - Pete`s Gear Shop
I can`t say enough good things about the service I received from Pete`s Gear Shop. I brought in my 1971 Plymouth Valiant to have the rear gears replaced. There were many obstacles associated with my "older" vehicle but Peter and Scott was able to take care of each issue with professionalism and expertise. Many Thanks, Dave

I can`t say enough good things about the service I received from Pete`s Gear Shop. I brought in my 1971 Plymouth Valiant to have the rear gears replaced. Note to Cwordbaby (Casey), thanks for telling the whole story bud. Didn`t want to let folks know YOU came in with your own diagnosis. Or that the shop had your differential out 4 times at NO additional cost to you. Or that the shop ate the cost of all the driveshaft work. Also forgot to mention you got your money back on all the parts. Thanks

Called on a Saturday, they wer...
Called on a Saturday, they weren`t even "open" but very friendly on the phone and told me to come by. Got my bearings pressed in and everything runs SMOOTH now. A little tricky to find but I will take my car to Petes for my automotive needs now.

Highly disappointing.
I had always heard good things from people who had dealt with Pete`s Gear Shop, so when I began to notice a deep sound/vibration coming from the back of my car, I decided to take it to them. Their diagnosis was the bearings in my differential. I was told they could fix it, so I said go for it. When we test drove it, it was clear the problem hadnt been properly adressed. Their next idea was that my driveshaft had ... view morebeen damaged, and that it needed to be replaced. So I bought that, and had it installed. The problem still was there. Two weeks later, they`re out of ideas, I`ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and they gave me back a car that`s still broken. I could not be more disappointed by my experience with Pete`s Gear Shop, and I do not reccomend them to anyone.

Trust Worthy
My car broke down in Hayward. Being from southern California and not knowing any shops in the area, I had my car towed to a well known transmission shop thinking it would be safe. I was wrong and had all kinds of trouble. After some phone calls I found Pete`s Gear shop where I was relieved to find a mechanic I could trust.
