STEER WELL CLEAR!!!!! This dealership sold me a used car on February 1st 2013, the vehicle is a VW GTI 2002, it came with a warranty for 3 months or 3,000 miles. Within 10 days the car broke down resulting in a tow from AAA, the vehicle was taken to a repair shop and I was told it needed a complete new engine (the car had been driven less than 400 miles), and the claim was denied by the warranty comapny as they dec... view moreided the problem was "assumed" to be pre existing before the warranty was given to us and the vehicle was sold to us. After numerous calls Mark the owner at King Autos got the vehicle moved to a repair shop deemed cheaper and agreed to pay half towards the reconditioned engine leaving me $2000 out of pocket. Four weeks later all four tires needed replacing as each tire had 2 nails in them "that had been in them for a long time" as quoted from the repair shop total $500. One week later we discover both wheel bearings have gone at the front and the bushings in the lower control arms are also bad, in addition the front axles "had seepage" and require repair total $1400, the warranty company was called and to my amazement I was told the warranty had been cancelled by Mark on February 20th and he was being sent a refund!!!!, I paid $7000 for plus an additional $2500 in repairs completed and a further $1400 yet to be done BUT with no warranty and NO warranty for any further repairs that may require action. Mark states he no longer wanted to deal with the warranty company on the back of the "pre existing condition with the engine" but did not tell me or supply me with any new warranty that should be in effect from Feb 20th to April 1st. This vehicle has only been driven for approx. 1000 miles since purchased. I asked Mark to buy it back, he offered $2800-$3500 max for a car he sold for $7000 and has had $2500 of repairs. He knows of the issues I am having and what if I got them done and in a weeks time the transmission goes He canceled a SIGNED CONTRACT/WARRANTY and left me with no warranty to address any future repairs which could be covered. I finally sold him back the vehicle for $4600, he is now selling the same car for $7995 (drives like a dream!!!) Clean title!!!! - NOT ACCORDING TO THE PAPERWORK IN THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT - FULL FRONTAL DAMAGES AND REAR DAMAGE???? DO NOT GO NEAR THESE GUYS - BEING REPORTED TO THE BBB FOR FULL INVESTIGATION.........WOULDNT GIVE IT ONE STAR BUT I HAD TO.

Great value and a wonderful pr...

Great value and a wonderful product! I was looking for a specific vehicle...a 1998-2001 Jeep Cherokee and had been looking for a couple of months for the right car. Not only did i find it at King Auto Sales, but the owner, Mark, was very helpful and willing to work with me on a very competitive price. A 10-year-old car is always going to have some issues. In addition, the interior was immaculate and the car was washed and waxed before I picked it up. The car had also been given an oil change before pick-up. An overall positive experience. I am writing this review to show my appreciation to King Auto Sales and its staff. I bought a 98 Mercedes ML320 back in 2010. Knock on wood, so far, I put about 42k miles on it and have had no problem with my SUV, it is still running like a champ. Recently, my alarm started to act up, called the dealer and explained what`s happening. They recommended that I take the car back to them to check it out. While waiting there, they ordered a new battery, installed it and re-set my alarm and charged me only $59.99! (That was the actual reduced price they paid for the battery). We were referred to King Auto Sales by a friend of mine. We went to check them out as we were looking for a car, I can honestly say that those guys were very helpful, honest and upfront with us. I had good experience with Kin...

I had good experience with King Auto Sales, I bought my first car Kia Sephia in 2006 and my 2nd car was Montero Sport in 2011. Both cars are running smooth and i have no problems. Mark was friendly and not pushy and I felt comfortable with my car buying experience.

Absolutely awful--worst of the worst

After an exhausting search for a used car that nearly leveled my faith in humanity, I`ve decided it`s my duty to review the crap out of the used car dealers who *really* offended me with their used car dealerness. My experience with this company was so bad it`s actually the worst out of THOSE. I found the car online, drove waaaaay out to Montclair to test drive it, liked it, asked Mark if I could take it to a mec... view morehanic for an inspection, and he agreed. The day I was supposed to pick it up for the inspection, I`m a little early, so I wander over to the gate for another look at the car (I`d seen so many that were so similar, I wanted a refresher). Well as I`m looking, I notice a spot on the trunk, and then one on the roof (the ad for this car said ""perfect paint""--hilarious). The color was the same as the car, but the texture was a little funny. What the... Suddenly I can`t believe I didn`t notice it before...is that...RUST? Rust that`s been painted over? Rust that`s coming up from underneath the paint? I was racking my brain trying to think what else could cause that kind of texture in those particular (top-of-the-car) locations. I couldn`t come up with anything, but then I`m no expert. Obviously I would prefer not to sink $8K into a car that`s going to have HOLES in it in a couple of years, so I decide to just ask the mechanic at the inspection. Because again, I`m no expert on painted-over rust, and there might be another explanation for the mystery paint texture. I`d love to tell you the mechanic`s verdict, but I can`t. I can`t, because the guy from King`s Auto Sales NEVER SHOWED UP. I called twice, left a message, waited over 30 minutes...nothing. No sign of the guy. So I end up having to call the poor mechanic (who was SO SWEET) to apologize profusely for wasting his time. And then start the long drive home. I never DID find out what happened, because they never DID call me back. After I drove 100 miles round-trip for nothing, and wasted that poor mechanic`s first appointment of the day. Wow. Just wow. I read somewhere that like 1 in 25 people is a sociopath. If that seems like a high estimate to you, try used car shopping, and hit this lot first.
