Glad I found it
I purchased a new 2008 Yukon. I wanted to add navigation and a sound system. I went to a few stereo shops and found no body to help. I called a few GMC dealers, and everyone of them recommended california car sounds. Went down, manager of the store was very knowlegable. He went over all of the products and installation procedure. I felt very comfortable doing business there. I was told that it would take 2 d... view moreays to install the nav, amp, and all of the new speakers.

Picked up the car 2 days later as promised. Very clean installation. The installer went over the system with me, and paired up my phone to the bluetooth device. Great service, Recommended!!

Great customer service with highly knowledgeable technician
I guess I wanted a quite complicated audio/video installation in my new Honda Pilot 2007. When I purchased my new vehicle I wanted an overhead DVD system and an auxiliary jack input for my MP3 player (not IPOD). These two features were not available in any standard configuration of Honda Pilot 2007 model. So my dealer redirected me to California Car Sounds. However, there was some initial miscommunication about the A... view moreUX jack installation. As a result only overhead DVD was installed and that too the sound link with the car audio was through FM channel, which was pretty poor in quality.

I explained the situation to CA Car Sounds guys and they understood my requirement immediately. Moreover, to help me to get the perfect solution the guy named ""Erin"" suggested me that he can install a device with two AUX inputs - one of which will be wired to the DVD system. Since the part for the specific vehicle was not in the stock, they had to order it and then instal it at later time. However, the initial instalation satisfied all the requirement with good sound quality, except that it disabled my XM radio. But this guy did not give up and figured out another way to configure to have two AUX inputs along with XM/Nav/In-Dash-6-CD-Changer.

Probably this AUX device was a rare thing and I had to wait almost a month for the part. And when it arrived the installation was perfect with AUX input through the AUX button in the Radio, and XM remained as original installlation through XM button. I am not sure what AUX adapter he used to get this peculiar installation, but I can bet this guy worked hard to find out the solution.

Also I had some complains about the sound quality of the overhead DVD. So these guys gladly replaced with a new one (though sound quality did not improve a lot and that`s the product`s problem - I believe). In the mean time I bugged the lady in their reception quite often about the status of my part, and she was quite helpful to communicate with technicians.

Made the Best of a Mismatch
The people of California Sound knew exactly what to put into my 2002 Rendevous, so it seemed. I upgraded my stereo from a radio, cassette and cd system to a Bose 6 Disk changer. The problem was the new radio and my 2002 car were not compatible for interfaces. The Bose was all digital and meant for 2004 and later models. Therefore, the radio could not be calibrated to my car for either the warning chime (which is far ... view moretoo loud) or to be exclusive to my vehicle. Also, the buttons on the radio to not backlight at night, which means I`m switching the sound system in the blind at night. The physical installation was fine, but I wish they would have explained ahead of time that radio could be incompatible with my vehicle and what those shortcomings meant.
