This place is horrible!!!!!!!!! Shopped for a car for several days. They actually had the exact car I wanted - I was willing to pay a premium for the car since it`s exactly what I wanted. The salesperson gave the me "we never negotiate our prices" line but I figured I would pay the asking price if it was half way decent. I would never purchase a car from this dealer unless you are ready to shell out a ton of money in a matter of weeks. I had to put over $2500 in my car to keep it running. When I went in to speak to the owners, I was told it was my fault and they would not assist me in any repairs. I tried to work out something with them to no avail, and was somewhat mocked and laughed at for describing the problems I had. The problem... view more I have with them is that they have a daughter around my age in college..... Would they want a dealer to sell their daughter a lemon as they did me? Would they want their daughter on the road driving back from college in something that breaks down on her after only owning for 2 months unexpectedly? We all know the answer to this. If you dependability, value, great customer service, and being free of stress about your purchase, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I have only owned the car for 8 months and it literally almost blew up on me before I traded in to get a new car. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!

They have very bad customer service. i bought a 2006 nissan altima from there and they didnt maintinance it before i drove it off the lot they said they did but didnt. One week after i bought the car i brought it back up there so they can fix my alignment and my brakes they had it for a week. And when i got my car back it was worse then when i brought it up there it was idiling really high it was sitting still the rp... view morem was at 3, it was still pulling to the left and i brought it back up there and they were being very rude the owners wife was cussing at us and saying that they were done with us.

I have bought five automobiles from this dealership. They are honest and good people to deal with. I have returned many times to have service work performed on our cars, and their service is outstanding and dependable. I bought our first car from Pelham Imports 14 years ago and my daughter plans to buy another car from them within 6 months. Bad customer service. We were ready to purchase the car and negotiate a fair price. The owner refused to even speak to us, he was ""busy doing other stuff"". He sat at his computer 5 feet away from the lobby while his assistant would go talk to him, then come back to us. Not good salesmanship at all.

We were looking for a nice Toyota Tacoma with a manual transmission for our son`s first vehicle. I used Edmund`s car site to do a search of trucks within a 75 mile radius of our home. Pelham Imports was listed. I read the reviews here and at the Birmingham City Pages site. I then went to their site and reviewed the information on a nice 2005 model with low mileage, a very clean interior and listed at a grea... view moret price. I loved being able to see the CarFax report online. We drove 50 miles to see the truck on a Monday afternoon. After a brief test drive we told them we were interested and that we`d be back to see it in the daylight. We had problems making it there the next day but finally were finally able to go back later that week. They let us take it for over an hour so that a local mechanic could give it a check up. They were very patient and helpful during the entire process - best car purchase experience I`ve had in my thirty years since I turned sixteen!

Used Google to find out the phone number for Pelham Imports and saw the ratings and comments. Have to admit, I am a return customer and I have purchased 4 cars (Hondas) from them. This includes Mine, my wife`s, my daughter`s and my son`s. I have recommended this dealership to many of my friends and I have not seen a single dissatisfied purchaser. I had a very bad experience when i wanted to purchase a car at this place. The customer service and especially the owner is very rude. The AC suddenly didn`t work when I just purchased the car about two weeks. They said the car has warranty for 3 months or 3000 miles, but when i went there, they didn`t want to fix it, and they said ""This is used car, i cannot fix it"". Sorry dennis007 felt he had a bad experience at Pelham Imports when purchasing his car. It`s unfortunate that he has to show just how little he really knows and how inept he is. Everyone knows when you purchase a used vehicle in Alabama, it is the BUYER`S responsibility to pay the back taxes, if any at tag time!
