Ready to drive desert car that can be enjoyed for the summer with a nice top for the unexpected rainstorm...investment quality. These early MOPARs have not dropped in value and this one has hit the 50 year mark in exceptional condition. You can not lose on this car. Enjoy it and pass it down to your children or enjoy it for a few years and sell it, you cannot go wrong and will not lose any money.

You are bidding on a low mileage survivor that has been stored inside and is in excellent overall condition with less than 68,000 actual miles.

Some consider this year Fury as the start of the muscle car era and this car has the optional and desireable 318 Hi-Po 4 Barrel painted factory Red.

This car spent it's life in the dry deserts of Texas and Oklahoma until it was purchased by a collector where is was properly stored indoors and covered.

All body lines are straight. Doors, trunk, and hood line up correclty and close solidly.  This is one of the most solid cars I have seen and does not appear or handle like a 50+ year old car.  It is a dream to drive and always recieves compliments!

Includes car cover.

Numbers Matching Engine and Transmission.

This is a very solid car that can be driven anywhere.

The top has been replaced and includes new snap in boot for a clean look and protection when stowed.

The original 318 Hi-Po Polysphere factory 4 Barrel engine starts easy, runs strong, and does not make any abnormal sounds or smoke.

The original transmission shifts smoothly and works correctly with dash mounted push button selector (very cool)

Exhaust system is quiet and solid.

Power steering works excellent with no leaks.

Brakes work solidly and car stops straight.

Tires have nearly all tread left with very little wear and no cracks.

Rust free desert car with solid floors, doors, hinges, etc.

Dash is pad is soft and supple with no cracks.

Door panels are beautiful with no cracks or tears.

All glass is clear and crack free.

Every option works including the original AM radio with exception of power top hydraulics. The pump and rams are present and work correcly but were leaking a little so we disconnected the pump from the power switch and operate the top manually.

Rust free and excellent condition body that presents itself very well.

Original color was copper with professional respray that still shines and looks beautiful.

Upholstery is better than driver quality in existing condition with one tear on driver seat bolster that has been patched.

Happy bidding!

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
