1995 Nissan Pickup Xe Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Latrobe, Pennsylvania, United States
I am selling my 1995 Nissan hardbody truck. I have done all work on my own so I know what has and hasn't been done. Work performed as if you would want it for yourself. No warranty or guarantees sold as is. Title in hand and must be transferred (no signing over for a later time)
Here is run down of new parts Upper and lower ball joints, Shocks, Left tie rod end, front calipers and pads, rear drums and shoes, new nickel copper brake lines from the firewall back, front engine seal, rear engine main seal, clutch, throwout bearing, pilot bushing, pressure plate, slave cylinder, tranny rear seal, transmission flush done at 84000, clutch has about 2500 miles on it. Shifts very smooth truck has a professional paint job done to match the factory kko color. Paint is flawless besides a few chips from wheels on bed and tar, along with a few small scratches on tailgate from not being adjusted. Will buff out. replaced both front fenders, bed, hood, lower valance, and all dents before paint. I also had a custom tailgate made with the plate pocket cut in along with a light. handle is on inside of tailgate. cab is solid on truck. As for lights I switched to an aftermarket headlight set up and did all clear lights with yellow bulbs (turn signals and running lights) Replaced grille and bumper along with bumper corners. Rear has aftermarket tails and also a roll pan instead of bumper. As for exhaust I have a super 40 flowmaster dual outlet underneath. For only being a 4 cylinder is sounds mean. Up front there is a pacesetter header. Exhaust is not stainless Truck comes with 4 factory wheels and 3 tires mounted on rims along with the 18s on the truck now. 18s do rub alittle on front if you hit a bump at high speeds. Truck is lowered with 2 inch belltech drop spindles and 2 inch blocks in the rear. I did replace the gauge cluster. Original cluster quit working at 48250 in 2010. I purchased truck in December of 2011. Truck has 86305 on it now. Truck does burn a little oil. I am running synthetic in it now. I believe it is burning due to valve seals. For the interior I have a kenwood head unit installed with new 6.5'' speakers in the doors along with two additionals behind the seats in boxes. I removed the bench seat and put the buckets in. very comfortable Nissan seats from another truck. The headliner is done in zebra print. very sharp looking. Truck is missing two things inside, one is carpet and two is a steering column cover. Ignition has some play on key but doors lock and unlock fine. Has factory power mirrors. Heat does work and a/c is not charged. There is 18% tint on side and rear sliding window. Frame was scraped and re uncoated like it is new. Clean underneath. No re welds done to frame. Overall a fun truck to drive. Would make a sweet show truck. A lot of potential. I have thousands invested in the truck but would like to see it go to a new home since I am busy with other projects. if you have any additional questions feel free to email me or ask for my number. I will talk personally about vehicle if you wish.
Thank you and happy bidding!

Mercedes and Infiniti confirm joint production in Mexico [w/video]
Mon, 30 Jun 2014It's official, folks: After initial reports last week indicated that Mercedes-Benz was preparing to begin assembly at the Nissan plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico, the two parent companies have announced just that. Only instead of using the existing Nissan plant at the site (in operation since 1992), Daimler and the Renault-Nissan Alliance have announced a joint venture to build a new one alongside it.
The latest stage in the growing French-German-Japanese collaboration is part of a new collaboration that will see Infiniti and Mercedes jointly develop and build a line of compact premium vehicles, with the first Infiniti models set to roll off the assembly line in 2017 and the first Benzes to follow a year later. Neither party announced exactly which models that would encompass, but Mercedes already has a robust line of small vehicles (including the A-Class, B-Class, CLA and GLA), and Infiniti has long been toying with the idea of slotting in something smaller below the Q50.
The billion-euro project, split evenly between the two industrial giants, is set to create 5,700 new jobs in Mexico. In addition to the Aguascalientes project, Infiniti and Mercedes are also undertaking joint production of four-cylinder engines (initially for the C-Class and Q50) in Decherd, Tennessee, from which they will be exported around the world. By the time the new factory in Mexico reaches full capacity in 2021, it will have the capability to produce 300,000 vehicles annually. That's on top of the 850,000 vehicles the existing facility is capable of handling.
Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.
Nissan IDx Nismo and IDx Freeflow concepts are a bridge to the Datsun 510
Wed, 20 Nov 2013We're not sure if someone from The Adjustment Bureau stopped by Nissan's PR department to explain the IDx Nismo and IDx Freeflow concepts, but the company's odd press release can't diminish our love for these two show favorites. We had been told to look out for an unnamed Datsun 510 BRE homage, and once we saw the brothers IDx, we knew we'd found them. But the press release doesn't mention anything about the Datsun 510 Brock Racing Enterprises, nor does it mention one Mr. Peter Brock, the man who won two Trans-Am championships in the Seventies for the nascent Japanese budget brand.
Instead, it declares that the cars were the result of a co-creation product development process with "digital natives," said natives being the whippersnappers born after 1990. Nissan says it worked with the young'uns to create two different expressions of "their desire for a basic, authentic configuration for a car." If that's true, it appears that what the kiddies really want are... two different homages to the Datsun 510 BRE that Peter Brock used to win two championships in the seventies for the nascent Japanese brand.
The IDx Freeflow - the "ID" is for "identification," the "x" is "the variable representing the new values and dreams born through communication" - takes the casual approach, with a light khaki exterior hue, a minimalist interior decked out in denim and a console shifter that works a continuously variable transmission. The IDx Nismo is out for blood, from its crimson interior to its five-point harness to its bolt-on flares and sidepipes. We aren't told what the digital natives requested for powerplants, but that's alright; if this is what "co-creation" looks like, we're not entirely against it except where that "CVT" is involved.
