Up for auction is this stunning 1986 Austin Mini Mayfair with a clean and clear Alabama Title.

Please note this is a 1986 Mini and not a 1980.  The Ebay system will not accept the British Vin # for cars 1981 or newer.

  • This Mini had a full restoration in 2012 with no expense spared.
  • Showing just 19,541 miles since a full engine rebuild, the car gets used on the weekends to cruise down to the beach if its nice weather, otherwise the Mini is stored inside my garage, so the mileage may increase slightly.  The Mini is very reliable on long distance too, I personally delivered the Mini to the port at Southampton in the UK driving it 263 miles without a problem.
  • Stunning yellow and black paint and bodywork as can be seen in the pictures.
  • Matching black and yellow seats, door cards, new black carpet and black dash with yellow stitching, all in excellent condition.
  • The Mini was fitted with new 12' wheels powdercoated white wrapped with brand new Yokohama 165/60R12 tires.
  • Absolutely everything works as it should.
  • Cd player with Pioneer speakers fitted under the rear seat.
  • 998cc engine with automatic transmission, both in full working order, engine starts first time with minimal choke and transmission operates and shifts as it should.
  • Mini comes with the current annual MOT inspection certificate from the UK which the Mini passed flawlessly.

Please see my 100% positive feedback inlcuding other Classic Mini's I have imported and sold to satisfied Ebayers.

I can help arrange shipping at the buyers expense.  I have the Mini advertsied elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

Please feel free to email me with any questions, I do have a lot more pictures if you would like me to email them to you just send me a msg.

Feel free to call/text me on 251-424-5896, my name is Richard, I do work a lot but I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

2014 Mini Cooper S Paceman [w/video]

Mon, 12 Nov 2012

Not Too Odd, Not Too Maxi. Is This Mini Just Right?
We recently got our first time behind the wheel of the latest iteration of the Mini Countryman, the 215-horsepower John Cooper Works model, and were left less than enthused despite the inherent fun factor that a JCW badge brings. Our time with the crossover suggests the Countryman is just too weighty and soft to properly wear the badge.
We have also spent loads of time in various Mini Clubman trims and, despite the oddity of its configuration, this model may be our overall favorite in the current Mini lineup. But it is decidedly not a volume seller, which Mini needs.

Mini Paceman modified by Roberto Cavalli for annual Life Ball charity

Fri, 10 May 2013

This year's award for Life Ball Mini designer goes to Roberto Cavalli. The Life Ball is a charity event held in Vienna, Austria every year that raises money to fight the spread of HIV and AIDS. Since 2001, the year of its reintroduction, Mini has been involved with the ball, auctioning a car that has been made over by a world-famous designer. This year Cavalli gets the nod and a Paceman for a canvas.
The iridescent brown/black paint is the eye-catcher in the sketch above (click to enlarge), but don't forget to note Cavalli's logo on the roof. We're not sure what other flourishes he has in mind for the car, but those in attendance will find out on May 24 when it's unveiled at the Cavalli store opening in Vienna. The press release below has more details.

Mini interns turn Paceman into Adventure pickup

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

With coupes and convertibles, hatchbacks and crossovers, Mini has done just about every bodystyle we could think of, and then a few more as concepts. But it hasn't done a pickup. At least it hadn't until now.
What we have here is a Mini Paceman (that, of course, being the coupe version of the Countryman) which has been transformed into a pickup by a group of BMW interns. It's called the Mini Paceman Adventure, and it's currently on display at the Mini dealership in Munich. According to BimmerToday.de, the project involved not only chopping the roof and installing a makeshift pickup bed, but also reinforcing the body, reforming the underbody and B-pillar, fitting off-road tires (including a spare fitted to a roof rack) and a handful of other minor modifications.
The photos are a little sketchy (although the dealership tells us a better set will be available soon), but from what we can see, it looks like a pretty solid project - one that makes us wonder if the apprentices' bosses might be paying attention. Because next to the Mini Coupe with its oddball backwards-hat roof treatment, this one-off looks as sensible as you'd expect from a group of German interns.
