1986 Honda Crx Si - Excellent Condition With Low Miles! on 2040-cars
Garland, Texas, United States
1986 Honda CRX Si with only 117,770 miles...one owner car in excellent condition! Everything works and all parts, pieces, tools, and manuals are intact and included. Has service records from '88 on...earlier ones were lost in a move. No rust car with only two minor cracks in the original plastic body work. Bought in California, then lived in Seattle and Prescott, AZ. Does not use oil and STILL gets a verifiable 35 mpg...without all that hybrid silliness! Runs & drives PERFECT...starts without any hesitation...ready to go! Interior is in immaculate condition except for one tear on the driver's upper shoulder area. Wheels are in perfect condition with great tread left on tires. Includes very rare front lip spoiler not found on most others! "Unmolested All-original Collectible" in need of just a little TLC" pretty much sums up this gem. Full disclosure: Original paint clear-coat has been weathered, OEM air conditioning is included, but will need to be recharged. Yes there is a reserve price, but it's very reasonable and it's lower than the "Buy It Now" price. No, I will not tell you the reserve price, so don't ask. PLEASE ask questions BEFORE you bid! I prefer to let the pictures do the talking as far as the car condition and quality, but feel free to request additional specific pictures you want for pre-bid inspection. Pick up and/or transport are the buyer's sole responsibility. |

Honda Tourer BTCC car lavished with photographic love
Wed, 19 Mar 2014Back in December, Honda Yuasa Racing gave us one image of the Civic Tourer entrant it's fielding in the 2014 British Touring Car Championship. Thanks to media days at Brands Hatch and a few photos from Oulton Park, we've got a whole photo album of the elongated Civic that will attempt to continue Honda's BTCC winning ways and shots of drivers Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal.
This is the first wagon to race in the BTCC since 1994, when Jan Lammers and Rickard Rydel had just one year to throw the Volvo 850 Estate BTCC between the kerbing. The following year, the rules were changed so that rear wings couldn't extend above the roofline or beyond the rear bumper, which meant the end of Volvo's blue and white "pizza delivery wagon."
The season begins on March 30 at Brands Hatch, when Shedden and Neal will begin trying to wrest the driver's championship crown from Pirtek Racing. We don't know anything more about the manufacturer entry go-fast Civic Tourer, however, which means this is just an easy feast for the eyes. Because racing wagon.
McLaren pondering Honda-powered 911 killer?
Tue, 21 May 2013As one of the premier sports cars in the world, the Porsche 911 is always driving around with a target on its rear-engined backside. If a new report is to be believed, the latest automaker with plans to build a 911-fighting sports coupe could be McLaren. Motor Trend is reporting that the recent news that Honda and McLaren are teaming up to build Formula One racecars could bear road-going fruit as well.
According to the article, the unnamed entry-level McLaren coupe may be powered by a Honda-sourced engine, but a detuned version of the 3.8-liter V8 from the MP4-12C is said to be more likely. All in, though, there is no solid information on the car just yet. As a reminder, M/T points out that the last time McLaren partnered up with a mainstream automaker, the world was introduced to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
105-year-old Facebook user gifted new car anonymously
Mon, 26 Aug 2013105-year-old Edythe Kirchmaier is quite a woman. Not only is she California's oldest driver - she just renewed her license this January after passing the test without incident - she has a perfect 86-year driving record without so much as a parking violation. In fact, she's been driving for so long that she learned how on a Ford Model T (how many people alive today have even driven one of those, much less learned on one?). On top of all that, Edythe is a philanthropist; she's been volunteering at Direct Relief, which provides free medications for people in need, for 40 years. You may have even seen her on TV earlier this year spreading the word.
So when Edythe's 1997 minivan began breaking down, an anonymous fan did what any completely selfless person of means would: they gifted her a brand-new 2013 Honda Civic, ensuring that Edythe can continue working for the cause she loves. Check her out on Facebook - she's the social media site's oldest registered user - and scroll down to the press release for more on this heartwarming story.
