1926 Ford Model T Roadster Pickup on 2040-cars
Lyons, Colorado, United States
This is very nice older body off restoration of a very nice original truck from California. The paint is showing some age in a few spot but is still really nice. The top and all upholstery are very good. The glass is good with only a small amount of fogging on the bottom. It has wind wings, clock and speedometer. It starts easily with the foot starter, runs smooth and has the Ruckstell Axle as you can see from the photos. I have the tools and it has the gas, water and oil cans on the drivers side. I believe this is a factory model and not one made into a truck or a roadster later in life .This car is All metal. If you want a quality car you might consider this one. CALLS ONLY PLEASE. If you have any questions or concerns please Call. I would be happy to have anyone come and examine the car- if you are not able to see it please call and we can go over the car panel by panel. We live about 45 min north of Denver, Colorado. Storage is not a problem and I would be glad to help with shipping arrangements. We are traveling east later this summer and I might be able to help with transport-then in the fall with are heading west to California -maybe an option for someone. I am going to advertise the car locally for sale - so if I would get a reasonable offer I would like to remove the car from the auction- I hope this is OK with bidders. Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014
The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
Ford auctioning off F-35-themed 2015 Mustang for charity
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Ford's been a supporter of EAA AirVenture, a huge, annual air show held in Oshkosh, WI, for several years now, with one of its most notable contributions being a modified Ford Mustang, designed to look like one of America's great fighting aircraft. There was an SR-71 Mustang, based on the legendary spy plane, a Red Tails edition, which honored the ground-breaking Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, as well as Blue Angels and Thunderbird Mustangs, based on America's two great military aerial demonstration teams.
Each car is auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program, which introduces kids to the joy of flight. For the 2014 AirVenture, which runs from July 28 to August 3, the one-off pony car is based on the new-for-2015 Mustang, and America's latest fighting aircraft - the controversial F-35 Lightning II.
The unique Mustang sports titanium paint scheme, with both glossy and matte sections, as well as yellow-and-blue trim and decal elements inspired by CF-1, the first F-35 test plane. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser add some visual eye candy, while the interior boasts a set of Recaro seats. Ford also opted to fit unique wheels and a brawnier rear spoiler, to tie everything together.
Shelby GT500 and Roush Stage 3 go head to head at the drag strip
Wed, 07 Aug 2013The Ford Mustang is a brilliantly affordable source of horsepower, with a base 300-plus-horsepower version available for well under $30,000. Jumping up to about $35,000 will get you a solid 420 horsepower from a high-revving V8, while those with some extra disposable income can get a pair of 600-plus-horsepower monsters. Both the Roush Stage 3 with its Phase 3 package and Ford's factory Shelby GT500 even crest the 650-horsepower mark, with 675 and 662 ponies, respectively.
Naturally, someone needed to find out which of these hi-po Mustangs was the quickest. And while this video is quite obviously a dealership commercial, at least there's some solid drag racing between two of the most powerful performance machines available for under $100,000.
With two NHRA drag racers at the wheel, the Stage 3 and GT500 go head to head for three races. Scroll down below to see the results in the full video.
