The item up for sale is a 1930 Model A Ford Cabriolet. After the Korean war, an American pilot was hired by a commercial airline to fly passenger jets out of Denver, Colorado. He wanted an antique car and purchased this Cabriolet out of Arizona and kept it in a hanger in Denver. As, a result, the wood is in excellent condition. When the veteran died, sometime in the late 1990's, the car was willed to his nephew who lived near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After a few years, the nephew no longer had room to store the car an put it up for sale. The car was all original  and in good shape, but it had rock chips on the paint and had well worn upholstery and top material. I have restored several cars as a hobby over the years and am not a dealer. The following restoration has been done:
-the car was completely dismantled and all metal sandblasted.
-primed with epoxy paint, finished with basecoat clearcoat
-all new LeBarron Bonney leather upholstery in car, doors and rumble seat.
-new top material
-four new Goodyear whitewall tires.
-completely rebuilt motor
-new bumpers ,tail lights and other stainless
-new windwings
-new running boards
-new trunk rack
-many other new smaller parts

2015 Ford Edge debuts with fresh tech inside and out

Tue, 24 Jun 2014

Edge will be the first Ford-badged product to come standard with EcoBoost power.
Ford officially unveiled the all-new, third-generation Edge today at its Dearborn home, announcing that the latest version of the popular crossover will ride on the same CD4 architecture that underpins the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ. The Edge will also be the first Ford-badged product to come standard with EcoBoost power.

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
