2018 Ford F-150 Xlt on 2040-cars
Catawissa, Missouri, United States
Here is a 2018 F-150 XLT FX4. I bought the truck and wanted the Raptor look. It has Raptor wheels and tires,
running boards, front and back bumpers all off of a 2019 Raptor. I had a leveling kit installed and 1.5” inch
wheel spacers to give the truck the stance that the raptors have. It also has rear wheel liners along with any
level lift air bags. It’s a 5.0 v8 with a flow master 40 series with the black tips and ran out the back as the
raptors do. I also had oem style raptor fender flares with the lights along with the oem raptor style grill, and
the tailgate trim. All were painted to match. The headlights are led with the led running strips to give it the
raptor look in the dark. Along with the 3 lights in the middle of the grill. The spray in bed liner is the ford
factory bed liner. Tailgate has the step assist and the bed has the interior lighting. It is a XLT package with
the 802A package. The interior has the full center console with the column shift. It did not have leather but I
had that installed at the dealership. To the inside... power locks, power windows, keyless entry, remote start,
navigation, touch screen, sync, back up trailer assist, tow package, fx4 skid plates, deezee tailgate assist,
chrome tow hoooks, power mirrors, heated front seats, under back seat storage, power sliding back

Ford readying Ranger-based Everest SUV?
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Way back in August, we showed you a Ford concept for the Australian market called the Everest. Now, we can show you that work on the new Ranger-based SUV is well under way.
At this stage, it's still quite clearly a mule (note the misalignment of the front and rear doors), wearing the Ranger's front end and the rump of Ford's overseas Territory crossover. The wheelbase is shorter than a Ranger, according to our spy photographers, which strikes us as somewhat odd for a more passenger-oriented vehicle. Disc brakes should be fitted at all four corners, while the new SUV, which will almost certainly wear the Everest name, should sport a new rear suspension.
In terms of looks, we're expecting the Everest Concept to inform the appearance of the production model. Naturally, there will also be some interior tweaks, particularly around the dashboard, which is covered in these photos.
Saleen previews new 302 Mustang
Thu, 03 Jul 2014The introduction of a new generation of a model like the Ford Mustang may be exciting enough in its own right for enthusiasts, but that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, because you know that Ford itself as well as numerous aftermarket tuners will soon follow up with even more desirable versions. And few Mustang tuners carry quite the same clout of Saleen.
Recently reunited after its previous split, Saleen is back on the map and hard at work on new aftermarket modifications for a wide array of muscle cars. We knew it would only be a matter of time before it would release a new 302 Mustang, and now it's sent out the first image to show us what to expect.
Details are scarce, but House that Steve Built says the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang "is perfectly positioned as the next American exotic." And it should know, considering that it's the same outfit that produced the Saleen S7 that really was a true American exotic. From the teaser image above we can see that Saleen has given its Mustang a new front air dam, a very wide air scoop on the hood and of course Saleen's trademark slat grille.
Ford rethinking vehicle launch strategy
Tue, 07 May 2013With a new boss at the helm, Ford is looking at new ways to improve its vehicle launches in North America to prevent recent issues that have popped up with models like the Lincoln MKZ, Ford Escape and Ford Fusion. Speaking with Automotive News, Ford's new president of the Americas, Joe Hinrichs, revealed a few ways the automaker plans to avoid early build issues such as the engine fires on certain 2013 Escape and Fusion models and months-long delays for customers to receive their MKZs.
It sounds like the root of the problems may have been Ford's relationship with suppliers compounded by the fact that the product surge came on the heels of the recent industry-crippling recession, and in the AN article, Hinrichs says improvements are being made to reduce problems during the launch of new or redesigned models. Three such improvements that were implemented during the first quarter of this year including more rigorous quality comparisons, better use of computer technology to catch major problems sooner and hiring engineers to work closer with suppliers.
