This is a 1999 ford explorer XLT with 173,000 miles. It is what you would expect a vehicle to look like in the northeast. Little bit of Rust, some wear and tear. I will list all that I can here.
1. Engine & Trans are in good running order. No leaks that I have noticed.
2. Radio & CD Player work, along with the speakers
3. Right front door lock, Needs help locking. You will have to push it down. A little lube may help. Unlocks without a problem.
4. Rear Door Hatch Handle, it works but the screws that hold it on snapped off.
5. Right Front lower ball joint squeaks.
6. Newly installed Battery & Altenator
7. Newly Installed stabilzer Links
8. Front & Rear Brakes done in the last Year (Less than 8000 miles)
9. Muffler Replaced in the last 4 months. However there is an exhaust rattle, at the center pipe to the muffler. Only occurs at low idle. Pressing on that point makes it go away, or reving the engine up to 800 rpm make it go away.
10. Interior for the most part is very clean for a vehicle this age. Not perfect by any means. But Better than most. I did smoke in the vehicle,
11. A/C has a slow leak. Refilled in the summer and by fall it lost its charge. Not to sure of the cause.
12. Shipping is on you. You can pick up or arrange for shipping on your own. The vehicle is in Cleveland Ohio
13. You are welcome to have an inspection done at your expense. There are several repair facilitys with in one mile of my home.
14. I listed it as a SOHC, but I really am not to sure what it is other than a 6 cyl.
15. I bought the vehicle in 2003, and it had 42,865 miles on it. From what I remember, There was only one previous owner.
16. Tires will get you through the winter, possibly till next fall. They are a bit noisy. Drives straight. So I believe the alignment is good.
17. Rust/Dings - There are some spots. Some of the door seams, one at the A-pillar, the rear hatch at the bottom seam. Again this is a Teanage car in northeast ohio. Rust happens.
18. Paypal Deposit of $500 required within 48 hours of auction close. Remaining balance within three days. Remaining Balance can come in the form of Cashier Check or Personal Check (Personal Check will have to clear before you can pick up the vehicle) I will not alterter the sale price on the title, so don't ask.
Any questions feel free to reach out to me or if you would like any additional pictures or video.

Ford Fiesta becomes UK all-time best seller
Thu, 24 Jul 2014We may regard Ford as an American automaker, but ask a Brit and they may tell you otherwise. The Blue Oval has, after all, been selling cars in the UK since 1903, and started manufacturing there as far back as 1911 when it began local production of the Model T in Manchester. Last year Ford ended 100 years of vehicle manufacturing in the UK when the last Transit van rolled off the assembly line in Southampton, but it's still the biggest-selling automotive marque in Britain.
Ford has led the British market for 34 out of the past 45 years, selling more Fiestas than any other company sells any other car in the UK since 2009... when it overtook the Focus. In fact the Fiesta has now become the best-selling car in British history, topping 4,115,000 units since its introduction in 1976. The previous record was held by - you guessed it - another Ford: the Escort sold 4,105,961 units over the course of its 32 years on the British market.
Although the Fiesta is no longer manufactured in the UK (previous versions having been built at Dagenham until 2002), engines are: the EcoBoost line was developed at the company's R&D center in Essex and are built at the factory in Dunton, while its diesel engines were developed at Dagenham in East London. Even the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine in the Fiesta ST is built in South Wales.
Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes
Sun, 29 Dec 2013Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.
Ford shows off V8-powered Ranger headed to Dakar Rally
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Avert your eyes now if you're jealous that the global version of the Ford Ranger is not offered in the US. Ford's midsize pickup is being tuned up to take on the 2014 Dakar Rally, and the result is a truck that is probably even cooler than any F-150 SVT Raptor we've ever seen in the States. Ford is actually building two versions of the truck for Dakar, which will run from January 5 through January 18, covering more than 5,000 miles from Argentina to Chile.
Starting with a fully composite body and a 5.0-liter V8 plucked from a Mustang, nearly every aspect of the trucks have been purpose built to take on the grueling race. This includes things like the six-speed sequential gearbox, liquid-cooled rear brakes and the 132-gallon fuel tank. As proof that Dakar is more about endurance than speed, the engines used in these race trucks will be limited to around 350 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and will max out at a top speed of just 105 miles per hour. Scroll down for Ford's official press release offering more information about the trucks and teams being prepped for Dakar.
