Hello again in eBay land!  Today I have the nicest Bronco to present.  I mean wow!  I have not seen a Bronco this clean and nice in 20 years.  I know they are out there fellas, but they’re sure not very common.  There is so much to describe and to talk about on this Ford, I am sure that I will forget something so please ask questions and I will try to supply the answers.

Ok, so this is a 1982 Bronco XLT Lariat.  It has its factory 351 Winsor engine but it has been modified.  It currently has aluminum performance Edelbrock heads and cams and manifold..  Holding a Holley 750.  There is electronic ignition and headers and exhaust and yes the truck also has Nitrous!!  If you are looking to have a Bronco that will blow your mind with power, this is it.  Everything that was done was done correctly.  Before you get concerned that this Bronco was used up and beat to death by the previous owner and then offered for sale, let me set your mind at ease.  The guy that built and drove this Bronco, rarely ever used it and told me he only built it because he wanted build it.  Not really to use it..  Well it shows..  This is a nice vehicle.  Please watch the video I posted on youtube.com it shows this engine starting, running, and revving.  I wish it could also let you feel the power the motor creates.  This huge Bronco will seriously frighten the neighbors with just 1/4 throttle..  so take it easy.  It does not leak, it does not smoke.  I just had a new water pump installed and new hoses too.  The engine is perfectly tuned and runs flawlessly.

The transmission shifts perfectly and preforms properly.  The 4X4 system, including: hubs, axles, and transfer case, are all working exactly as they should too.

The color is called Dark Curry Brown Metallic.  It’s a color that has not been seen in a while, but if you pay attention to trends..  One making a comeback right now.  I think it looks fantastic.  The paint is in excellent condition.  I can’t find a single ding.  There are a few touched up stone chips, but nobody is going to ever notice them.  The chrome is straight and well attached.  The bumpers are perfect.

The tires are new, as are the brakes and the suspension bushings too.  When I say brakes, I mean pads, calipers, disks, drums, wheel cylinders, etc..  I am talking about $1500 worth of brake work done in the last few hundred miles.  I have receipts for everything.

The whole truck is really nice, but the interior is one step above that.  It is totally stock and original.  It is clean and tight and really cool too.  Black and grey with the wood accents and the leather wrapped steering wheel.  I mean it just looks great.  Classic, vintage cool.  The previous owner deleted the stereo and added gages in that area..  he said, and I quote…”Why would I listen to singing when the engine makes the best music I can think of?”  I couldn’t argue with him.  It does sound pretty great.  He also deleted the air conditioning..  That I did protest, he explained that it needed to be upgraded to R134a and just never got to it.  If you want it put in, figure $1000..  Maybe you get some change.

I don’t think the top has ever been off the truck, but it does come off it you want some sun.

As far as the drive quality is concerned, I was very impressed and so will you be.  As I mentioned, the suspension bushings were recently replaced and the truck is tight and aligned properly too.  It rolls straight down the road at highway speeds and has very little wander in the steering even with the 6’’ or so of lift.

This Bronco is beautiful and has a ton of vintage appeal; it will surely be one to hold on to for future appreciation.

I am selling the Bronco with a LOW RESERVE and I know the Ford will sell the first go around as long as we all play by these rules.

#1.  Only bid if you have intentions to buy.

#2. Ask any and all questions before bidding.

#3. Please contact me BEFORE BIDDING if you have zero or negative feedback.

#4. This is an AS-IS sale.  I have done my best to describe it exactly as I see it but it has no warranties or guarantees.

#5. I will not accept Pay-Pal for the balance payment of the truck.  Pay-Pal is for the deposits only, the balance must be paid by certified check or wire.  Legitimate and legal buyers only please.

Just be real and genuine and I will make sure that the winning bidder is happy with his or her purchase.  I have 100% positive feedback and I plan on keeping that.  Also, I will end the sale for the right offer so don’t wait till the last second and worry about missing out.  Just call me and we will work out a fair price..

I’m Justin my Phone number is 503-969-5127 give me a call..  I love to talk about this Bronco.

Nuclear-powered concept cars from the Atomic Age

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

In the 1950s and early 60s, the dawn of nuclear power was supposed to lead to a limitless consumer culture, a world of flying cars and autonomous kitchens all powered by clean energy. In Europe, it offered the then-limping continent a cheap, inexhaustible supply of power after years of rationing and infrastructure damage brought on by two World Wars.
The development of nuclear-powered submarines and ships during the 1940s and 50s led car designers to begin conceptualizing atomic vehicles. Fueled by a consistent reaction, these cars would theoretically produce no harmful byproducts and rarely need to refuel. Combining these vehicles with the new interstate system presented amazing potential for American mobility.
But the fantasy soon faded. There were just too many problems with the realities of nuclear power. For starters, the powerplant would be too small to attain a reaction unless the car contained weapons-grade atomic materials. Doing so would mean every fender-bender could result in a minor nuclear holocaust. Additionally, many of the designers assumed a lightweight shielding material or even forcefields would eventually be invented (they still haven't) to protect passengers from harmful radiation. Analyses of the atomic car concept at the time determined that a 50-ton lead barrier would be necessary to prevent exposure.

Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? That's the answer that Xcar is after in its latest video, and it took the Fiesta to the track and some very misty, Welsh roads to find out. Scroll down to find out whether the ST stacks up.

Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
