A great work truck ready to work today. I have owned this for 7 years now and it has never let me down. I just don't use it enough anymore and don't want it taking up space. 1982 Chevy c20 mason dump with clear title. Nj inspection expired in January although it passed last January with flying colors. NOTHING I mean NOTHING in the dash works. Registration is up to date.
Here's the good and the bad The good; starts right up, newer front brakes, 1 ton hydraulic dump with pto control in cab, looks great on the outside for its age, no visible rust on the cab body, will save you a ton in rentals and delivery fees, newer spare tire on rim, exterior lights work, wipers work although it could use new blades, pintle hook (never personally towed with it and can't verify if all wires are there and intact) The bad; nothing in the dash works ( I would fill up the tank every time it take it out and pretty much drove it locally to scrap yard, jobs, get firewood, etc.) a few small holes in the bulkhead of the dump body (floor is solid), could use a few new tires although I've been saying that for years (they hold air fine even with a full load), the doors need to be slammed to close, the windows require 2 hands and sometimes having the door open to operate, unsure of actual mileage since nothing in the dash has worked since before I bought it, because it is a 3 speed manual with the granny gear it honestly doesn't go over about 50mph. There was remnants of mice living in it when I bought it (bought it from a farm) and there still is although I have never seen any mice. So this thing is a true work horse with plenty of life left in it and it looks 10 times better than most operational dump trucks in the same price range. I am looking to clear some space but will not give it away as it will still make me money. Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
Share price falls on skepticism of Chrysler-Fiat five-year plan
Thu, 08 May 2014Following this week's Fiat Chrysler extravaganza, where the Italian-American manufacturer announced its plans for the next five years, the Autoblog staff was cautiously optimistic of the company's future. Investors? Not so much.
Fiat saw its shares tumble 12 percent in Wednesday's trading, falling from 8.67 euros ($12.06 at today's rates) to 7.44 euros ($10.35) as of this writing, with blame partly going to the Italian half of the FCA marriage, which recorded a pretty significant drop in profits during the first quarter of this year.
The plan, which will cost around $77 billion over the next several years, is facing criticism from investors thanks in part to a 1.4-percent drop in Fiat's first-quarter profits, to 622 million euros ($862 million). That figure is also short of Bloomberg analysts' projections, which predicted $1.18 billion in profits before taxes, interest and one-time items.
