Here is an original untouched 1967 Malibu. This car is equipped with  tilt steering from the factory, a perfect running 327 motor, no smoke on cold starts, no lifter noise, or ticks of any kind. The trans is a  power glide and shifts just as designed back in 1967.   This is a power steering car with manual drum brakes, the car runs and drives like new, the body is straight, no rust ever, no dents, no smoky, or chipped glass. The doors close perfect,  the original door seals are still in very good condition. The windows go up and down easy, the original key locks the doors and opens the trunk. There is an original spare tire and jack in place. All body panels are original and straight, without rust, or rot. I have lots of receipts from service garages over the  years. This car has been taken care of all it's life, never been misused, or abused. I am the 3rd owner and  have a clear matching #'s title in my name. The car is ready to drive anywhere at any time. This is a very nice and clean car with extra clean floor pans, top side and under side, no undercoating, or primed places to hide anything . Everything on this car works proper. The bumpers are clean and straight, nice original chrome, the other chrome emblems, tail light bezels and such, have no pitting.  Nice garage kept car.   This unmolested car is one of very few original 327 Malibu's left anywhere in the country.   This is a smooth riding,  good driving, tight old car that is pretty much how it came off the assy. line in 1967, very nice old Chevelle. The ash tray has never had a cigarette in it. The glove box is the original, in perfect condition.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out

Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
