Up for sale is my Unmolested 1975 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Deluxe (I call her OLD GREEN). I spent years looking for this truck, I found it in May 2009 at a used car dealership in Pittsburgh Pa. and trailered it home to Pottstown Pa. I was able to obtain the previous owners information from a old registration card found in the glove box. I called him shortly after purchasing the vehicle and the story goes that the vehicle was originally purchased from a new car dealer in Washington Pa. called Rudy Schreiber Chevrolet by his brother in law in 1975. It was an originally a straight 6 with a 3 speed. The next owner was the father of the guy that traded it in when I bought it so it was always a family owned truck. It was the fathers truck until 1987 when he passed away and was given to his son who changed the motor to the current 305 and auto transmission that is in there now. He states both bed sides were replaced due to minor rust, also the left front fender and left front door skin was replaced due to a deer hit. He also told me there were minor floor patches put in the truck (approx. 6inx12in on both side floor pans.) The truck bed floor, tailgate and bed back (against the rear cab) are all original and in very good condition. He did say there was a patch put in the bed floor on the passengers side behind the rear wheel well. He also did tell me the truck was always garage kept from day 1. I bought it in hopes to make it a show winning hot rod. I promised myself I would not start the restoration until I saved $20,000.00 dollars to do it the "Right Way". Well so far I have saved the $20,000.00 two times and instead of putting into the truck I ended up remodeling my house. I have had the truck for 4 years and have put probably 3 miles on it in that time. It has been sitting in my garage in the same condition as it was the day I bought it. I recently spent big money and purchased a show winning 1975 Chevrolet C10 Silverado short wide box with a Factory 454 big block so it is time to sell "OLD GREEN" .... In my opinion this truck is in need of a complete restoration inside and out. I did just get off the phone with the owner before me and he said he has no problem with sharing any history of the truck. My goal when looking for the truck was to find one in as good of shape as this one is. I hope who ever buys this truck does it right!! I have a perfect EBAY score and have sold several vehicles on this site. I am 100% honest and have nothing to hide. If you have any questions about the truck you can call me at 484-459-8521. I also have no problem with showing the vehicle during the auction time. I will start the bidding at 3,500.00 with no reserve and may the highest bid win it! Happy bidding!!!! Nate

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car
Wed, 20 Feb 2013We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.
