1950 Chevrolet Belair 2 Door Deluxe Hardtop on 2040-cars
Dallas, Texas, United States
1950 Chevrolet BelAir 2 Door DeLuxe Hard Top. This Excellent example of the 1950 Chevy 2 door Hard Top was found in a private collection here in Texas. We brought the car back to the shop, installed a new battery, tuned her up( new cap, rotor, points, condensor, spark plugs & wires) then took her out for a cruise on Forest Ln.This car drives very good with a solid ride & good smooth braking. The motor runs good & pulls strongly through the gears ( the original 216 Babbitt bearing motor has been replaced with the newer 235 CID unit & has been converted to a 12 Volt system). The exterior is in great original condition having been resprayed at some point & complete with all chrome trim & bumpers looking good(just look at that hood ornament!) The interior also looks great having had some restoration work in the past(seats, carpet, dash & headliner are all in great shape) The trunk even looks great with the original jack, lug wrench & spare tire in place. The underside of the chassis looks great with solid frame rails & floor pan (even the fuel tank looks to have been replaced or refurbished!) This is an excellent Cruise Night Vehicle as it is or a great candidate for a Classic Restoration or Hot Rod Project! Clear Texas Title in hand. We sell Internationally as well as Locally and will end this Auction when it sells. See all pictures & ask any questions.

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting?
