Original 1964 Impala Convertible. With late model upgrades which include Ps, Pb, exhaust, Performance bolt on's and a new stance, this beautiful bomb shell turns heads where ever she goes!

The exterior of the car is in beautiful condition, but does show some minor ware and tare from being driven over the years. The car features a gorgeous and straight original body that would be considered in good condition. She is a driver so this car is not being described as perfect, but rather nicely preserved and very well taken care of. This car has had one repaint done to it. All the chrome is in good condition and shines nice.

The interior is all original with the exception of having the carpet replaced and looks very good. Nice clean dash free of cracks or previous repairs. Seats are in near perfect condition with a bit of minor wear on both the driver and passenger side. Everything works as it should. The windows roll up and down with ease. The convertible top is free from rips or stains. The trunk is clean and comes with the spare tire.

Mechanically, the motor runs and drives excellent. A pleasure to drive and floats down the road with ease. This is a very comfortable and reliable car. The motor is a rebuilt sbc 350 with new intake, carb, headers, radiator, battery, belts, hoses ect. The transmission is the original power glide transmission that has had one rebuild. The car has power steering and power brakes. The brakes has been upgraded with a chrome CPP booster and master cylinder accompanied by new brakes lines. The car has been lowered with CPP drop spindles and springs. The exhaust is all new and sounds throaty and powerful . The wheels and tires are newer with less than 250 miles on them. The wheels are made by Intro Billet (the tires do rub just a tad when fully turned left or right)

Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.
