 I have this gently used 3/4 ton Chevy Long Bed for sale. It has never been “worked” on a full time basis and was driven an under average 10,000 miles a year. It has never plowed. I used it to pull a small two horse trailer a few times a year. It had never towed until I owned it. We are now towing a larger travel trailer and bought a more adequate tow vehicle so I no longer have use for this one.

I sent this truck to my mechanic last week in anticipation of offering it for sale and told him to go through it and do whatever it needed. He called me and said there was nothing for him to do. I then sent it to my detail-er who steam cleans the interior and gives a coat of wax three time a year.

Before I buy any vehicle I run a build sheet. I purchased this truck because it had all the heavy duty goodies offered that year. I can email the entire build order but some HD options are;

Codes

C6P – GVWR 8600lbs

FF6 & FF7 – Adjustable front torsion spring

F60 – Heavy Duty Spring (Front)

GT4 – Rear Axle 3:73

G80 – Differential, Heavy Duty locking rear

KNP – External transmission oil cooler

MT1 – Transmission, 4 Speed Auto, Heavy Duty

NZZ – Skid Plate package

VYU – Snow Plow prep package

As a daily driver, regular maintenance and repair was never overlooked. Oil changed like clockwork. Pictures show a dry transmission and oil pan. Tires aren’t even 1 year old. All major service performed by either Midas or Firestone. I have all receipts.

Some things that were done recently are;

New Rotors, New drums, brake pads, flush brake system

Monroe Reflex Shocks HD

Radiator hoses, flush system

Pittman and idler arms

Bridgestone AT Revo Dueler Tires

B & W Goose-neck trailer hitch. (Professionally installed by Trailer Masters in 2011)

This vehicle is in very good shape for its age and category. EVERYTHING WORKS. There are blemishes and imperfections normal for its age that do not show up in pictures. There are three small dings in the hood which I have tried to show but they are small and the camera won’t pick them up to good. The tailgate functions perfectly but has the damage shown in the picture. You are encouraged to come look at it and inspect by appointment only. Bring your mechanic if you like. Vehicle is sold as is. It will be registered and insured until the auction end. Please bring whatever your state requires for transport, plates will be removed.

GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.
