US $750.00
Year:1993 Mileage:135500

Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States

For sale is a 1993 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Tahoe package, 4dr, 4WD Hi-Lo, Automatic transmission, and a 4.3L Vortec 6Cyl engine. The truck has a frame mounted ball hitch, 4 tires with near-full tread and a full-size spare with full tread, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, and cruise control. You will not find a better technologically equipped pre-1995 car available. The car has always started up on the first crank during the coldest mornings. The transmission shifts smooth and true with no hesitation. Car also comes with rain guards for all 4 doors/windows. I replaced the factory stereo with a CD/Aux/AM/FM player, which I will be taking out unless the buyer wants to purchase it seperate from the price of the car.  The AC does not blow cold, but it blows strong, so I believe it just needs a recharge. The only rust on the car is on the front two wheel wells, and a little under the drivers and passengers front doors. The drivers' door hinge pins need to be replaced, I have the parts but haven't had the time to put them in.

Major Issue:

This truck ran fine until last month when I began to get a knocking noise in the engine, which ended up setting off the knock sensor on the engine, shutting it off. The problem kept occurring, so I tore down the front of the engine and found no problems with anything on the serpentine belt, and replaced the timing chain. When I started the truck back up, the engine ran like a dream while parked for about 30 minutes, then when I gave it some gas, the knocking returned. However, this time the knocking did not shut the engine off. I can drive around the block with the knocking occurring and the engine will not shut off, now. I have talked to a few mechanics who have told me that the issue could be a bad lifter. I do not have the time/funds to replace anything else on this truck, and would like to see it go to someone who has the time+funds to repair the engine and keep it on the road for another 10 years.

I am asking $1200 or best offer. I have the title in hand, and 2 sets of keys (door keyx2 and ignition keyx2) plus a remote lock/unlock/hatch open fob.

I would like to sell this as a whole.  Please make me an offer.  Pick up by buyer. Cash only.

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.

GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
