For sale is my 1996 4Runner. I’ve owned this truck for over 10 years, and it’s always been reliable. It has excellent 4WD, good shocks & struts, and good tires. Very strong Interstate battery. Timing belt / water pump changed a couple years ago. Good brakes. 317,000 miles, oil changed every spring and fall. Recently changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, and cleaned AIC.

Interior is leather. Drivers side seat is worn with a tear on one side, and stitching out on the top. Can possibly re-stitch the top because it’s not torn, just the stitching came out. Other seats are decent. Has the moon roof that tilts and slides. Rear window goes down with the key, but interior switch needs to be replaced, and the rear wiper doesn’t work. Heat and A/C both work fine. Radio and CD player works. There’s a bulb out on the dash for the heater control.

Please note this is not a new truck. Be prepared for problems. While it’s ALWAYS been reliable for me, I also maintained the heck out of it, checked the fluids monthly, and serviced it when there was an issue. This truck will be sold “as is – where is” with no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for removal. $500.00 deposit must be made through PayPal immediately after the auction ends. Remainder in Cashiers Check or Cash. I can hold the truck for a reasonable amount of time (several days), while you arrange pick-up, etc. Inspection was good through the end of June 2014….

In the YouTube video:

I walk around the truck, start it, stop it, start it again, etc. You can see there is absolutely no hesitation.

This truck runs better than when I bought it with 88,000 miles on it, probably because I cleaned the AIC throttle body.

It has the 3.4 V6 motor. Good trans, shifts very smooth. The frame has rust in a few spots, and there’s a couple small chips in the windshield that can be filled because they’re under 1/2”. Some dents and dings throughout, a few on the front bumper, one on the hatch, and one on the fender. I do have a spare fender for one of the repairs, I will be including with the auction, and a new front bumper is around $100.00…. Overall, a very good truck. I’m selling it because I had the opportunity to buy a newer 4Runner at a great price, and I did. I’ve stopped driving it since the new fuel filter/ fuel pump were installed, but I start and run it every day.
