Vehicle Description

Up for auction is a museum quality 1979 Lincoln Mark V with 14K original 1-owner miles.  Powered by the original 6.6L 400CI engine this Lincoln runs exceptionally well. This fully documented classic was recently purchased out of North Carolina, where it was sold brand new.  Heritage Lincoln-Mercury sold this car on 11/22/1978 to James Stuart Tilley for $16,618.00.

In addition to all the creature comforts like 6-way power seats, A/C and power everything, etc..this Mark V was ordered with an abundance of factory options including: cream vinyl roof, custom paint stripes, illuminated entry system, headlamp convenience group, rear defroster, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, heated mirrors, reclining passenger seat, radio citizens band, AM/FM/8 Track, factory CB Radio,  interval windshield wipers, gold/cream luxury group, interior light group, power lock convenience group, rocker panel moldings, and turbine spoke wheels.

Everything on this car appears to be factory original.  The story is James Tilley ordered this car specifically to drive down to Florida for Horse races.  Mr. Tilley owned some convenience stores and was passionate about horse racing.  This car has been garage kept for 35 years and has always been stored in a climate controlled garage sine new, and it shows.  The weather stripping is still soft, the vinyl roof is still soft, everything has been preserved so well it's like a time capsule.  The interior is in show quality condition. The paint quality is amazing and most all of the factory stampings are still clear as day, which I captured in pictures.

This Mark is sitting on what I was told is the original tires.  They are still in great shape but do have a little vibration when driving.  Because they are original and still look great I decided it was wise to keep this car as factory as possible.  I have a bunch of original paperwork with this car including two window stickers, the original ownership card, some other documents in Mr. Tilleys name and several old registrations.  I also found a horse racing selection sheet and a program he left in the trunk.  The factory manuals are also still present.  The trunk retains the original spare, canister, and bumper jack assembly; they have never been used or removed.  I don't think this car has ever been professionally detailed and it still looks and smells new.

This car is ready to be used or collected, which I hope it is.  It's a time capsule that will be difficult to replace because of the mileage and condition.  Thank you for checking my listing and feel free to ask any questions.

Up for auction is a very rare 1975 Volkswagen Kombi 15 window bus.  This rare piece is in excellent original condition and is very difficult to find here in the states; specifically because of the split front window and combined 15 windows total.  This VW has a 1500cc engine that runs very well.  This bus shows 66K miles but the true mileage is unknown.  If you are interested in making an offer rather than asking my reserve please feel free to do so and include your contact information as well.

PLEASE NOTE: A very common question that has been raised is: " I thought VW stopped making the split front window in 1967" ? This is true for German made buses, however Brazilian manufactured 15 window with a split front windshield buses were produced up until 1975, which is what I am offering here.

Production in Germany: 1950-1967

Production in Brail: 1950-1975

The paint and body is in excellent condition, as you can see the paint has a great shine and good reflection.  There are a few paint stains which I have photographed and it is hard to see, also some bubbling which didn't; photograph that well (these are pretty small areas)  All of the windows are in tact and some have some light scratches but to cracks at all, they are tinted so the scratches may just be in the tint.  I have photographed the blemishes (chips, dings, etc...) so please take a look at the photos, I have posted 100 of them.  The interior is in great shape as well and was just professionally detailed.  .  The tires are in OK condition, they have another season or two.

As I mention, the bus runs well.  Shifting takes a bit to get familiar with but it shifts pretty well.  This particular bus runs and drives nice.  It doesn't smoke and it has pretty good power. The undercarriage is in pretty good shape.  The frame has no heavy rust or rotting.  Its pretty much all original and just has dirty old undercoating.  No major weak spots to mention but there has been a few small patches.  Overall it's very solid. Lastly I have a CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE that this Kombi will be sold with. The VIN on the title matches the VIN to the right of the engine .
