Up for sale is my exceptional 1960 MG MGA Roadster. Since I relocated to New England for a job, I just haven't found the time to drive the car as much as it deserves. This car has received an extensive "BODY ON" cosmetic and mechanical restoration. Every aspect of the exterior and driveline (all original to the car) has been replaced or restored, including fresh paint, new chrome, canvas top and interior. I have not spared any expense to make sure this car looks phenomenal and is brilliant to drive. While the restoration was "body on" the underside of the car is impeccably clean, detailed and rust-free. The panasport wheels and tires offers vastly improved handling and ride quality. The car received a full mechanical overhaul the end of last summer (August 2013). During that time the following work was completed (all service documentation provided with the car):

Mechanical Restoration (August 2013)

  • Performed by Harloff Motors in San Diego, CA
  • Full engine rebuild (original 1600cc motor)
    • Motor was reconditioned to run on unleaded gasoline.
  • Carburetors rebuilt
  • Complete transmission overhaul including a new clutch (original 4-speed transmission)
  • Clutch hydraulics rebuilt and the master slave cylinder replaced
  • Rear differential was replaced with a 3.90-1 (included in the sale is a second differential 4.3-1)

Recent Service (April 2014)

  • Performed by Valley Vintage Motorcars in Northampton, MA
  • Carburetors adjusted and synced
  • Engine head re-torqued
  • Passenger front brake caliper rebuilt
  • A-arm bushings replaced

The sale of the car also includes a custom indoor dust cover, the factory tonneau cover and side curtains. I have been meticulous with the care of this car. It has always been stored indoors under a cover and it has not been driven in the rain/wet roads since the restoration. If you are looking for a show-winning car that you can drive, this is a perfect example. All pictures are very recent (including the primary picture taken 5/11). This car really does need to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. My intention was to create one of the nicest, well sorted drivers car on the road. I feel that this car now accomplishes that to the level of some nut and bolt restored cars.

Please contact me with any questions you may have, or request for any additional pictures.

I do have the heater box vent tube clamps, they just haven't been installed at the time of the pictures.
