Notes about the Car

I completed restoration in 2006.

It took 4 years to restore. Everything is stock. I made

every effort to keep the car as original as possible.

The only non-original elements are the chrome upgrades.

They were options in 1958, but not original to the car.

I spent a great deal of time and care on the paint job.  I applied

and sanded a total of 21 coats of lacquer.  I was assisted by

my friend who ran a high-end shop for 30 years.

The car is stored in an inflated bubble in my garage.  This is to

keep any dust from settling on it.

The engine and transmission are not matching. The car came

with a 352.

It has a 352 bored out to 390, but the engine is a

1958 and is period correct.

The odometer is original and working. The car has 57,652

original miles.  She has less then 2000 miles since the restoration.

As part of the restoration, I replaced bushings and front end. There

was rust on the fenders, and replaced the entire skin of the driver

side rear fender from the door to the back end.

I also did the subframe with a donor car.  All replacement parts

are all solid steel.

The only other change I made to the car was the 3.0 pumpkin in the

rear differential. I did this to get smoother, lower rpm on the highway.

The car has never been touched with anything

but microfiber cloths.

Everything mechanically works.

I'm selling to make more room in my garage to work

to work on a 56 T-Bird that I bought.

The car is located in Idaho Falls, ID.

Note:  In the description above, I accidentally

called the paint lacquer.  That is false:  it is
primer, paint, and clear coat.  I apologize
for the error.
